Personal Narrative: Death Of A Vegan
Let me say this before I get too upset. If something was to happen to this person, if they get trolled I will not be visiting them FIRST, I will be visiting you. If you think for a second I am bluffing or somehow talking boisterous believe me please fucking try me. I would rather die then ever let little scum bag organizations that were built to protect Vegans than have you attack one. In fact the last act you'll know on this earth is my hand shoving a big fucking mac down your God Damn throat... and I am not even Vegan and that's why I believe it will never get that far

One of the things I am most proud of in my life is I wilkl defend your beliefs until I know they are hurting someone or something, so if some meat eating mutt decides to pick on someone wearing a "I am Vegan ask me why T-shirt I will gladly sacrifice myself for that person because that means I died a great death and my death had meaning. We are all gonna die, so get over it, but I may not have a choice in 'If' it will happen, but I have full control when it comes to the How, when and why.

Many stereotypes have become associated with veganism. It is said to be extreme because of the politics that are involved with vegan’s voices and dollars. Vegans abstain from wearing leather, fur, wool, pearls or anything that comes from an animal meaning they shop alternatively. They buy clothes and shoes made from plant materials such as hemp which are manufactured in an ethical form. There is substantial advocacy for animals online and in city streets with explicit images of what goes on behind the veil of these big food industries. These advocating vegetarians and vegans can come off as bold and overbearing. Their messages are loud though, most of the vegan culture does not devote to dedication such as theirs. Although the production of…

    Vegan Pros And Cons

My passionate love and care for the environment and animals gives me the satisfaction that I am helping the planet and its inhabitants. It also gives me the opportunity to experiment with vegan alternatives to eggs, such as chickpea brine. From these vegan culinary experiments, I learn more about baking, and what makes baked goods rise and stay moist. It would not be an exaggeration to say that being a vegan makes me more empathic because it constantly reminds of the harsh cruelty animals face every day. Being a vegan means that I acknowledge that animal cruelty exists and that I want to end it. There is a joke that says “An Atheist, a Vegan and cross fitter walk into a bar….. I only know because they told everyone within two minutes.” I can confirm that veganism such a huge part of my identity that it's one of the first things I mention about myself when I introduce myself to people. It usually helps spark up conversations that often lead to arguments about, animal cruelty, and the meat and dairy industry. I like to argue so, I think that being a vegan allows me to have interesting arguments and conversations with people that I would never have if I weren't a vegan. But being a vegan comes with negative consequences as well. For one thing, I try not to go to food-related events because I hate having to ask if the dishes there are vegan since I don’t like to put pressure on people. It usually turns out that most of the food isn’t vegan so I end up eating salad anyways. I once went to a bar mitzvah and all I had to eat was a tasteless salad. I hated it. Everyone was asking me if I was ok because I was too embarrassed to tell them that I wasn't eating the food because it wasn’t vegan. I hate having to bug people. It just feels really rude. It’s not like I have an allergy. It’s my…

It is no secret that many people are becoming vegan and changing their lifestyle drastically. From many celebrities to people in our neighborhood. What is veganism? Being vegan means someone does not condone animals being raped and slaughtered against their will. Also someone on a vegan lifestyle does not consume or use anything with animal products or bi-products. When being vegan someone must check all labels to see if something was tested on animals, has animals fat, or anything that harms or hurts an animal they cannot consume or use. The first step to being a vegan is it is pivotal to understand where our products came from and the malicious tasks it takes to get them.…

Another year passed and I went vegan, cutting off all forms of exploiting animals equally for ethical and environmental reasons. The difference between veganism and vegetarianism is vast. Vegetarianism only cuts out the consumption of meat, ignoring the damage of all animal agriculture in total. And avoiding animal products of every sort, as I have found, leads to a more peaceful and cleaner earth. Initially, vegans avoid a leading contributor to greenhouse gas emissions, wasting countless amounts of clean drinking water able to produce healthy foods, and aiding horrendous accounts of deforestation. A further gentle impact on earth calls for other things than just being vegan. Since being vegan, I've realized and acted on the importance of recycling and using reusable water bottles and containers. Also, recently I have stopped shopping at large brand name companies simply in that they aren't fair…

In Defense of Food was quite shocking at first. In all honesty, it made me think I was going to die within the next week due to a heart attack triggered by all the junk I eat. Considering I myself indulge in processed cookies from the aisles of Stop and Shop, and steak tips that have been marinating in salt for two days, the film hit close to home. But in all honesty, I don’t eat that bad; in comparison to the Seventh-Day Adventists I do, but I think I’m doing alright.…

There is no denying the benefit, however there is no opportunity for us to make those changes. There is no vegan friendly restaurants, no vegan designated stores within the community. By introducing these changes into my community people would become more open to the idea of eating meatless, they would not be opposed to going out to eat at ‘the vegan place’ once and awhile. Families would have more of an opportunity to make a meatless dinner every once and a while, and with those changes, not only would a new lifestyle be introduced to a rather sheltered community, but the repercussions and benefits…

    Animals Vs Vegetarianism

Vegetarians do not eat any meat but still consume egg and dairy products. However, the egg and dairy industry may also raise their animals in poor conditions, even organic, free-range, or “certified humane” farms. The male infant laying hens “are invariably killed as soon as they have been sexed” because they have “no commercial value” (Mason and Singer 279). Price could still arise as an issue for many because similar to the free-range and certified humane meat, these types of eggs and dairy products are also generally more expensive. “Veganism is a sure way of completely avoiding participation in the abuse of farm animals” which is what Singer believes is the only sure way of avoiding the unethical implications of eating factory farmed food (Mason 279). Singer gives compelling evidence and asserts that going vegan, despite the other alternatives, is the only sure way to avoid taking part in the abuse of animals. Since vegans do not consume any animal based products at all, they completely ensure that they are not promoting the abuse of farm animals anywhere in the production process. He further maintains that no matter how drastic the change away from supporting the factory farming industry could be on the individual at first, not doing so simply because it is difficult is an unsound moral…

If they buy from local farms owned by women, they do this even more and by helping provide livelihood for women who may be victims of sexism in rural areas. On top of this, they support women by treating animals, especially female animals, with respect and appreciation. This reflects positively upon the women in American society by showing that meat is not a necessary part of any diet, and animals, as well as women, are neither subservient nor deserving of harm. People who eat vegan, local food while supporting women also help the United States move forwards socially and economically by refusing meat, industrialized food, and sexism. Halting the cycle of pursuing profit through immoral actions, they allow the United States to progress with new ways to make and consume food that do not cause irreparable harm to the environment and the world. Finally, they support minorities and people in poverty by allowing them to have greater access to food and opportunities that they would not have had with the usual American food production and consumption…

    Vegetarian Vs Vegetarian

A very common misconception is the mislabeling and generalization of those considering themselves to be vegetarians. Vegetarian is used to describe people who exclude meat, poultry, fish, or any other animal derived food from their diet. However, within the generalized term "vegetarian" come numerous different forms of the lifestyle, each classified based on the degree to which animal products are excluded from their diet and the reasoning such as ethical, religious, health. The different groups of vegetarianism fall along an imaginary spectrum, with semi-vegetarians, who are often excluded entirely due to behaviors conflicting with the practice, on one end of the spectrum and at the opposite end are vegans, the strictest of vegetarianism. The semi vegetarians, or those who exclude animal products from their lifestyle to some degree, are often banished by true vegetarians. This is partially due to the fact that semi vegetarians consume some sort of animal products, thereby contradicting the definition of the term. However, semi vegetarians' motivations are highly different. Some are obligated by religious beliefs to refrain from eating particular types of meats. Others follow the lifestyle for health concerns; say perhaps a person chooses to not eat red-meat because of cholesterol problems. Another possible motivation would be pure personal preference. Even though semi vegetarians fall short, they still obtain some of the positive health benefits that vegetarianism brings. Although meat is both healthy and harmful to your body it has its own…

Many vegans (including Gary Steiner) feel that buying meat, even humanely treated or free-range meat, is morally wrong. Gary Steiner goes on to say, “Chickens may be labeled free-range even if they’ve never been outside or seen a speck of daylight in their entire lives” (196). In other words, even if meats are labeled free-range, that doesn’t mean they treated humanely. He goes on to say, “Even if it is raised “free range”, it still lives a life of pain and confinement that ends with the butcher’s knife” (196). With this knowledge, we must ask why consumers still buy these items. Steiner believes this is because of the soothing feeling their conscience receives when purchasing these falsely reassuring labels. When it comes to the welfare and respect of animal life, ignorance…

Distinctions are sometimes made between several categories of veganism. Dietary vegans (or strict vegetarians) refrain from consuming animal products, not only meat but also eggs, dairy products and other animal-derived substances.[c] The term ethical vegan is often applied to those who not only follow a vegan diet but extend the philosophy into other areas of their lives, and oppose the use of animals for any purpose.[d] Another term is environmental veganism, which refers to the avoidance of animal products on the premise that the harvesting or industrial farming of animals is environmentally damaging and unsustainable.[17]…

What is Veganism? According to Dave Gil and De Rubio veganism is “an extension of vegetarianism that avoids all animal products, including dairy, eggs, fur, leather, wool, down, and cosmetics or chemical products tested on animals”(1). People are vegan for many different reasons some being religious reasons, personal reasons, ethical reasons or other people who believe it is better for the environment and human health. For me, being vegan is more about the benefits for the environment and for the health of the humans. Veganism has a huge benefit on the environment and on human health. The humans who do not sustain the vegan lifestyle could very well be taking down the planet one hamburger at a time. Therefore, it could be correct to say that being vegan is the solution to creating a brighter and more sustainable future for the existence of human life on Earth.…
