Personal Narrative: Mrs. Shoemaker
Everyone knows that one person who never seems to lose their cool or give up. My seventh grade teacher, Mrs. Shoemaker, was that person who never seemed to lose it. She taught many students who created a plethora of stress and heartache. Additionally, she helped me understand and finish hair-pulling assignments. I spent my junior high days at Eureka Middle School. There, I spent an hour in Mrs. Shoemaker’s literature class. When I walked into her classroom on day one, I knew I would enjoy her. She was a middle-aged teacher with an especially soft voice. Quick to smile and tell fun stories, I knew Mrs. Shoemaker would would soon become one of my favorites. Coming into her class, I never possessed a great amount of patience. One of the things that really frustrated me was when students constantly blurt random stuff out. This seemed to be some of the boys’ aptitudes in that class, because it seemed they never could hush up and listen. I don’t know if they just did not think and immediately said what came to mind or what, but I soon became aggravated. The approach Mrs. Shoemaker used surprised me. She decided to quietly calm everyone down. When she first tried to get …show more content…

Shoemaker’s class I had recess. Since my friends and I usually didn’t get down to the gym fast enough, we didn’t always get a ball to mess around with. So we instead decided to stay in her class during that time. We had loads of fun creating memories upon memories that will never be forgotten. Memories like when we put on impaired driving goggles and stumbled over everything. Memories of us eating all her yummy peanut butter filled pretzels and asking for help on assignments. I had grammar with a different teacher but if I did not understand something, I would ask Mrs. Shoemaker. She would always explain the homework to me. Also, if I had to write an essay she would help me and then look over it for mistakes. Making me a stronger person today, Mrs. Shoemaker never let me give

My Jr High choir teacher, Mrs. Bradbury, was the most challenging teacher I have ever had. She would never cut the choir a break, and never stopped pushing us to be our best; “I can’t” was not acceptable to her. I hated her with every fiber of my being, and every time she spoke all I wanted to do was sew her lips together. It wasn’t until the beginning of ninth grade when I realized she was amazing. Once I let my guard down, we instantly connected. Recognizing how much I loved to sing and becoming one of the top singers in my choir was thanks to her. I started working for hours every day on my songs, staying late after class for help, and going to voice lessons. I excelled exponentially and Mrs. Bradbury noticed it.…

Ms. Fazio the best fifth grade teacher anyone can ask for. I also remember going to Islands of Adventure towards the end of my fifth grade year. Mrs. Fazio and I rode in the front of a roller coaster, I believe the ride was called Dueling Dragon. I just remember Ms. Fazio screaming through the whole ride. The day overall was amazing. But sadly bygones are just bygones. Now I have to worry about college, homework, work, and my future. I miss having to worry about scraped knees and getting my agenda signed. Life was good during the elementary days. Come home watch television, eat cookies, and go out feeling as though nothing can go wrong. Running around during recess and playing tag. Times sadly have sadly changed. Now I am just left with these nostalgic…

There were many times where she just found a way to get mad at me and i thought that she might just be doing it for fun. One e I was chewing gum, which I know is against the rules, and she saw me. She told me to spit it out and I went to do it, so I looked towards the trash can and she thought I was rolling my eyes. So Mrs. Lumpkin decides to yell at me in front of the entire class and told me that I was full of myself. And another time I said a line in a book very enthusiastically and she said that I wanted all of the attention and that I needed to stop. But then, another girl screamed out a line the same book, on the same day, and she laughed. I meet the challenge by just listening to her and not saying anything when she got mad at me for no reason.…
