Personal Narrative: My First Football Game Against Lovel
We were just going through football practice and it just was the same as every other day. We would practice hard and go through all of the conditioning. We just recently played our first football game against Lovel. That consisted of two quarters, which the Freshman played the first two quarters and the Varsity played the second two quarters. At the end of the game, it was 45 to 17, it was not close at all. That was a good way to start off the Freshman year. We were going to play the Cody Broncs in a couple of weeks, but things changed very fast. One of my favorite quotes is “Sometimes it’s the Journey that teaches you about your destination.” (Drake). That Sunday morning after playing Lovel everything in my world was flipped upside down. It was just a normal day. I woke up, bruhsed my teeth, and took a nice long shower. With the mirrors full of steam and the water dripping down the side. I dried off and put on some Nike sweats and headed upstairs while my sister (Audryanna) was sleeping. As I …show more content…
Especially when you are only in your second week of highschool of your freshman year. With little time to spare we went to the Billings hospital for surgery so they could get the two tumors out. We wanted my mom to be back to her normal self and be her perfect self. While she was getting her surgery that was the most nervous I have ever felt. When you play sports and you get that nervous feeling to go out there on the court. I had that feeling, but ten times worse. That day I found the real meaning of motivation, I would use that feeling of fear to motivate me not to do better in sports, but to do better in life. As the time went by the support from our friends and family made us get through the situation very well. As a couple of weeks went by we were back on our feet, Mom was getting better day by day. Every day we just thought we were so blessed that she is back on her

The first day of try outs, I stepped out on the field with a nervous feeling in my stomach but a confident look on my face. Among the girls I was the smallest and the youngest, but I never let that discourage me. I was a fourteen year old girl passionate about the sport with a bit of natural talent, but had more than enough to learn. I was trying out for second base along with two older girls who were both bigger and had more experience. I was doing everything it took to prove to the coach and to the girls that I was worthy of a starting position. It was a long stressful week of tryouts, but I made it through feeling confident that I had made the team, yet I was still nervous because anything could happen. The coach finally posted the list of the names of the girls who made the team. I waited eagerly for the older girls to move so I could see the list; when I finally got to the front and saw my name on the list, I was excited but more relieved than anything. It was like a huge weight off my chest, but I knew I still had a long way to go. We had about a month until our first preseason game, and until then we wouldn't know who was starting in each position.…

When I stood at the bottom I did not think I could make it. half way up, I knew that I could not make it. Now, standing at the top, I look behind me at the amazing challenge that I have just conquered. Not only is the hill at Eau Claire an infamous feat that every student must traverse, but it is also a metaphor for every hardship that has entered into my life. One hardship I have faced, was my sports injuries during high school. My junior year track season started off being the best experience i’ve had. Unfortunately, this time was cut short. I ripped a ligament in my leg ending my entire spring season. I was angry at the world asking, “why me”. However, I knew I still had a team depending on me. Day in, and day out, I would show up to practice…

It all started at ninth street with some friends of mine John and I started recruiting some people to come play football with us. I honestly didn’t know I had a pretty decent arm. I originally was going to start practicing to play wide receiver instead of quarterback. At the time Odell Beckham Jr. ( wide receiver for the New York Giants ) was extremely explosive and dynamic on offense. Seeing him blow up on offense made me want to try out for wide receiver. But somehow John convinced me to play quarterback.…

It was the day that most freshmen dread, cuts day. There were many of us trying out for the JV baseball team- more people than there were positions. After boosting myself up, I finally decided to try out. I was told we would have a new coach. I was a little scared that we wouldn’t have our old coach anymore. Also, when the team was mad a little after, our old coach came back just in time. Knowing that if we had a chance to get our old coach back was wonderful. Because nothing would be the same. Every sport and routines are different from the beginning to the end whole different start.…

It was 2009 and I had been in sixth grade for a couple of months. I was on the phone with one of my friends from school when my mom called through my door for me to come out into the living room. I ignored her and kept talking for a few minutes when she called me out again. I rolled my eyes and told my friend I would call her right back. I walked into the living room and it seemed odd to me that both my sisters and dad were all out there too. I watched my mom take a deep breath with my dad by her side. As she began to speak her voice shook and gloss covered her eyes. “The doctors found a lump in my last mammogram.” she said. “It came back as cancer. I’m going to have to get treatment but I’m going to be okay.” No one else said a word, we all…

I wanted to play football so bad for three years I've literally had dreams of me playing defensive back, my wishful position, and being able to play with my emotions and do very well. It was a Friday night in mid August 1991. I was a noseguard and middle linebacker on defense, depending on the play. I also played right guard on the offensive line. This is the story of a night that could of well ended any hope of being an athlete, on any level, from this point on. I will be telling the story from the defensive side of the ball, due to that is where I was playing when I had five vertebrae, slightly, separated.…

Good Evening Mr. Forrest, this is Sean Anderson. I wanted to send this report involving the girl's basketball coach from Northeast Middle School. Me and Jason Collins were the officials at West Creek Middle School vs Northeast Middle School. The games started at 4:45. During the second game, which was the girl's basketball game, my partner Jason Collins made a ruling against Northeast in the 4th quarter. The girl's head coach did not like the ruling and venting her frustrations toward us. She screamed" her player was not there for the foul". While I was administering the free throws I heard her screaming and gave her the stop sign signal and told her ok that's enough. I didn't administer no technical foul even though she continue…
