“We finally get to leave for South Dakota today.” Brody said. “ I know I can't wait to get there, but it's going to take 13 hours to get there.” I said. “Yea but we can sleep the whole way there and when we get there it’s going to be lots of fun.” Brody said. “That is true, well ok I am going to sleep I will see you when we get to South Dakota.” I said. The next day when I woke up we had just arrived to South Dakota. We still had 30 minutes to go before we would arrive to our campsite. When we got to the campsite we unloaded the horses and then we unloaded everything else. After we got everything unloaded Maddy, Eli, Brody, and I went and got wood then made a fire and sat around it until it was time for bed. The day after we got to South Dakota we woke up and ate breakfast when we got done eating we went and got the chores for the horses done. After we were done with the horses we all got dressed and went sightseeing in the town we were closest to. There were all kinds of antique stores and …show more content…
It was going to be a short ride only about 4 hours altogether through the South Dakota mountains. About an hour into our ride, we reached the mountains and as soon as we did Brody, Eli, Maddy, and I rode our horses to the top of the mountains. When we reached the top of the mountains we got off our horses and looked out over the South Dakota scenery, it was a beautiful view. I have never seen a better view in my life. You could see so far since we were up so high in the air and when we looked down at Tommy and Cassie they looked like ants. After we took a few pictures we headed back down to Tommy and Cassie. We went a little further after we got down from the mountain and then we turned back and headed towards camp. We arrived back at camp we washed, fed, and watered the horses. When we were done with that stuff we made a fire and started carving on sticks for a competition we were having and then at about 11 we went to

Our whole wagon train met at the front entrance and we left Fort Kearney together. It was a nice stay, but we had to keep moving. As we were traveling on the trail, we were stopped by the South Platte River. We need to cross the river in order to follow a stream that heads to the North. We check if there were bridges around the place since the water was shallow, but we saw no bridge. We decided to use the sand bar we saw so we can get across the river. As we crossed the river, Michael almost fell off the sand bar with his 13 year old son. Luckily Curtis pulled him up and we were successfully able to cross the river.…

When the second week of February arrived, Kayla and I left Sioux Falls around six in the morning. Arriving in Brookings a hour later, we were driven to the campus and taken to a building with a large gathering room that held other schools whom had already arrived before us. We were assigned seats in specific sections—ranging from Bass, Tenor, Alto, or Soprano. Hours of practicing went by, and we had reached the last few hours of the day. Driven to a performance hall; we ran through all the songs once more before the final…

We saw the roof view of DC, the movie about historical moments in reporting, and the Berlin Wall, along with the East German guard tower and the beheaded statue of Vladimir Lenin, first leader of the Soviet Union. We also saw Capitol Hill and the Jefferson Memorial, until our newest stop, the Pentagon City Mall. There, I ate at Auntie Anne's and then spent over $40 on flags. After that, we went to see the Pentagon and 9/11 Memorial, a very sad memorial. There were little “Benches” which pointed towards either the Air Force Memorial or Pentagon, depending on if they died in the Pentagon or on the plane. There, a group of loud kids were running around, which led to many of us being angry, as they were very disrespectful. We then went to the WW2 Memorial, where we left our tour guide Rick, which was a rather sad moment. Next up was the hotel, to go in for the…

I felt fine alone in the house so I told my mom that it was okay to leave me there. She was afraid because it was getting dark but she knew this would be a quick trip. She finally left and I started to walk around observing the house.…

Most people say that going to a new place is exciting and I would agree, but when the place you're going to be in a big hole in the middle of Montana you already know the way there will be interesting. So I’ll just start at the beginning. When my father told me that we were going to Montana to visit my relatives I was excited, but when I asked if we were flying or driving, He said we were driving to see some national monuments that we’ve never been to before that was cool, until I realised I would be stuck with my little brother with no privacy I was a little less excited about it. I took us about 8 days to get there.…

We also got some food to last us the weekend and some fishing bait too. When we got back to the trailer we made breakfast, got dressed and just situated everything in the trailer and cabin so that it’s all ready for our stay. We got the poles and bait we got from the store and then headed for Lake Navajo. On the ride to there it was really bumpy but the scenery was great, there were a lot of trees and wild flowers to look at.
