Personal Narrative: The Forbidden Forest
It was a warm Friday in Orlando, but the lines were not lengthy at Universal. It was a distant walk to Hogwarts, especially with my mom and grandmother. We rushed to rent a locker which took even longer. Once we got the locker we went straight to the line for the Harry Potter and The Forbidden Journey ride.
The line was not long, so I rushed through the twist and turns yelling “Hurry up! I want to get there this year.” It looked so pretty with details and all. The castle was smaller than I expected, but it felt real. We went through the garden and there you see a ton of cool plants. The plants even seemed real. I felt like I was actually a student at Hogwarts. We walked through a courtyard finally getting to the real line. Once we got in,

Next thing you know you're being harassed by a dragon! It even spat real fire at us! It made my eyes flinch making me wish I had some sunglasses on. We jerked in all these different directions, dodging left and right! Finally we came to an abrupt stop in the deep, dark, Forbidden Forest. Once we were in The Forbidden Forest it was quiet and still for a second, then you hear a dark, scary voice that belonged to Aragog telling you to avoid his brothers, sisters, sons and daughters then the spiders come spitting water and trying to get you! Then I hear Hermione’s voice telling me to follow it, so you do which makes you pop out the forest on to the Quidditch pitch.
At the Quidditch pitch, Harry tells me “Follow me and stay close,” and he leads you straight to the Dementors, so you follow Harry to a wooded area in which it is cold and eerie where a Dementor tried to get my mom and her memories, but out of nowhere I heard “Expecto Patronum!” then a stag comes barreling towards you! Finally, we fly to the castle to see that we had helped Harry win the Quidditch Cup!
There he tells us “Good Job! That was

The trail continued around the east side of the lake entering a gathering of trees forming an insignificant forest along the lake’s shoreline. From our viewpoint, the trees concealing the trail eventually dispersed on the southeast side of the lake, and the trail blended into the landscape. No point in taking a vote now, we had trekked to the lake and the consensus was to proceed with a lap around the lake.…

At first glance the carved snake, the phoenix, heads of witches and wizards, and wands catch your attention as they move all around the door. The handle feels cold and different from any other; it’s shaped like a wand. As the door opens there is an eerie screech. Standing in the doorway, straight ahead is a window which changes shape every now and then giving the human eye a look at the view from different angles. The room is tidy and untouched, but dusty and has been a home to spiders for weeks, maybe months. The door closes behind you and you feel lost, like a mouse in a big house looking desperately for a place to hide. At that same instant all the lamps come on, blinding you for a quick second. The spiral lamp next to the bed lets out a bright white light and is covered with cobwebs. It stands on a dusty piece of colourful glass afloat in mid air. Next to the lamp is a naked bed, suited for a king, the mattress is an off-white colour. Four long poles are what make up the bed-head. Cobwebs zigzag on them and spiders can be seen speeding down their sticky thin lines as if running away from the dull light above. Compared to the others, this one was different, a blue bulb, in a sun shaped light shade. The colour resembled the blue sky against the white wall. In contrast, on the opposite silver surfaced wall there shone a black light, it’s mounted on a star, giving off changing light. Only after a moment in the room will it be noticed that all the lamps are of a different colour. To the right of the dark wooden mahogany door stands a tall silent closet, sprinkled with dust. Its wooden doors decorated with pieces of glass of all shapes. It’s lonely; nothing kept it company, not even the visiting spiders.…
