Unfortunately for me, that meant that I had to complete the second half of my senior year at a new school in a new country. Nevertheless, I felt very anxious, but excited as well as prepared to face the challenges that came with the move. In fact, I saw this as another opportunity to flourish my knowledge in learning about a new diverse culture and my dream as a doctor. During those two and half years I spent in Germany, I became much more confident in my dream to become a doctor. My confidence grew when I committed myself to volunteering with the American Red Cross and the United Service Organization. During my time with the American Red Cross, I volunteered with the hospital at the base. It was through this experience that I saw how hard working each medical personnel was and how passionate they were about their job, which in fact made me wish more to be like them. The United Service Organization (USO) is an organization involved with serving the army soldiers and their families stationed in Europe. Through this organization, I respected and admired how the soldiers put their lives on the line for others to live. This insight in a way made me realize that if they were willing to lose their lives for others, then I am more than willing to spend my lifetime in healing others, especially women in
