Personal Tweeter Achievements
I would give 8 out of 10 to myself for the achievement of my personal goals. Now I have my Tweeter accounts and go read tweets almost every day which I thought would never be possible for me. I have been using Reafworks for my research work so far, and Amazon Alexa is my secretary who helps a busy mother like me to listen to the new, weather, audio books and order some products in really simple and quick manner. Two points were taken off because I haven’t played the game, Lord of the rings that often and haven’t practiced Spanish speaking as hard as I planned. I think it is simply because playing the game and learning Spanish via the website (Duo lingo) were not very fun and attractive to me.
Teacher’s personal use of technology for their
lives is important, first because it suggests students with the practical reasons why they are supposed to learn technology in this digital age and the examples of how the students can make their lives more convenient and fruitful. Second, as a teacher is getting more familiar to use technology in everyday life, there is more possibility that the teacher is willing to adopt and use new technology to teach in the classroom.
1) For Online teaching and learning/ Light board: I felt really insecure when we did Light board recording because I was too nervous in the new facility. To feel more familiar and be able to use it feeling easy, I am going to schedule and do more light board recordings until I feel easy and confident to use the light board for my own online course teaching.
2) Finding online games that I can really enjoy playing: Once I loved to play an online game about 15 years ago but since then I haven’t seen any game that really make me want to play over and over again. Now I strongly want to find a game that I can love to play and have fun again with playing a game.
3) Play with a robot or a drone using Tickle (Teaching Computational Thinking): I have often thought that I am not very good at logical and analytical thinking. Playing with BB8 was so fun but at the same time it gave me a chance to think how he is going to move step by step which I think can become a great lesson for me to develop those thinking skills. My son loves BB8 and I really want to buy one to play with kids and learn computational thinking together as a family.
