The first reason that becoming vegetarian is essential is because it would help the U.S. become significantly healthier. When choosing to become a vegetarian there are many different choices in food. There are vegetables, fruits, grains, legumes, nuts, seeds, and many more different plant based foods. These plant based foods are essential to anyone's diet even if you do eat meat. Janet Riley Vice president for public affairs stated “In fact, recent research is actually pointing to the health benefits of a balanced diet ensuring brain development in children, maintaining brain function later in life, preventing sarcopenia and anemia and so on.” With this you can just eat meat as a child then when you get older you can slowly cut out meat. They also say meat and animal products are a really good source of protein but not for the environment. With turning vegetarian you can still get the protein you need without eating meat. There are nuts, seeds, beans, and legumes that you can get your protein from. Overall there isn't a very good reason that we should keep eating meat at every meal and we should cut most of it
