If they really wish to improve the food, they need to start serving the real thing, fresh, not canned. I feel this would translate over into better performance in the classroom before and after lunch. If you have something to look forward to on your classes prior to lunch, you will have more motivation. Whereas, if you have who knows what for lunch, there is nothing to work towards. After lunch you will be better fueled for upcoming classes. Now I know that the lunch staff cannot cook home cooked meals for each student, there would no way to serve every student. Which, I know is part of the problem with improving the food. However, the state needs to come up with a plan for better, more efficient food. A plan that works out for every aspect of the situation. Which needs to include the food, cost, and production. If all of this is considered I know there is a better system. The students do understand that they are working the best they can with what they are giving. Just this year we have incorporated a salad bar. Which, has to out to be fresh and awesome! We need more improvements like this, which is why we are not begging for a heathier menu, but, in fact a better
