On Feb. 28, The Christian Post reported about Global Vision Bible Church pastor Greg Locke’s outrage over the “thank you” cards he received from Planned Parenthood for donations that other people including someone named Christa Ginsberg from Houston have made in his name. The Tennessee pastor found this to be strange since he is very outspoken about his Biblical stand on abortion and called the move a waste of both time and money.
“Don't ever send me anymore nonsense from Planned Parenthood. There has never been an organization
in the world that has killed more innocent people other than radical Islam, than that of Planned Parenthood,” Pastor Locke said in a Facebook video. “Look, I'm just gonna say it boldly whether you like it or not. Planned Parenthood does not give the flip of a wooden nickel about women's healthcare. It's a bunch of deceptive individuals that are in it for the money.”
However, instead of deterring other people from donating to Planned Parenthood in his name, an atheist group and thousands of other people were encouraged to do the same. Daniel McNamara from Los Angeles, who promised to send personalized letters to the pastor, launched a GoFundMe page to raise $10,000 for the abortion giant.
Two months after the incident, Pastor Locke hauled the thousands of “thank you” cards mailed to him back to Planned Parenthood’s office in Washington, D.C. The move comes after the abortion giant ignored his request to take down his name from their mailing list, the Post said in a recent report.
In a Facebook live video, Pastor Locke said he took the time and effort to fly to Washington to return the cards to “spiritually make our punch back point with them.” Quoting Romans 1:16, the pro-life pastor said he is not ashamed of Christ’s Gospel and added that there should be people who are willing to speak up just like the Apostle Paul did.
Planned Parenthood security personnel did not allow Locke to enter the facility. However, they gave him two recycling bins which he could use to return the “thank you” letters at the front of the building.
