What is Pokémon Go
Pokémon Go is an augmented reality game developed for both the Apple and Android users. The SNAP Mobile SDK 2.2 provides developers with a number of innovative tools to make it significantly easier to create connected mobile games. New features include a game template, skinnable user interface framework, support for J2SE and Bot API. The new game template provides a complete implementation for all required community functionality such as friends list and chat, with an interface that allows developers to either plug in existing game code, or to use it as a basis for entirely new connected games. This template enables developers to concentrate on creating their game, not on the platform requirements, since most SNAP Mobile requirements are already in the game template. With the user interface framework, developers can quickly manipulate a game 's look and feel to change XML. The UI framework includes a clean separation of controller logic which makes it easy to use with developers ' existing UI frameworks. The SNAP Mobile SDK 2.2 also adds support for J2SE, enabling developers to design games with cross platform support. This means that SNAP Mobile games can also be created as desktop applications or applets to run on PCs and web pages with the possibility to play against the same game 's mobile version. For example, the N-Gage title Reset Generation uses the SNAP Mobile support for J2SE to…

Lyme Disease is a major problem, especially in New England, which is where it started. Lyme Disease is spread around by deer ticks; they feed on an organism and that organism may get infected. The bacteria that causes Lyme Disease is Borrelia Burgdorferi, a spirochete that causes a lot of damage to your body. However, there are two different solutions that could stop Lyme Disease from spreading even more: vaccines and population control. Deer ticks get Lyme from the mice they prey on as larvae. If the mice were given vaccines, that would stop the ticks from spreading Lyme. On the other hand, if the mice populations were lowered, the number of Lyme Disease cases might get reduced too.…

Until recently, individuals who met dates online were viewed by society as desperate, social misfits. Traditional dating methods include meeting people through friends, face-to-face encounters, at bars or work. More recently, sites such as Lavalife, Zoosk, Facebook, E-Harmony and Plenty of Fish enable individuals to connect with the potential to develop different types of relationships if desired. This paper will discuss how online dating enables people to reach a much more global market and encourages participants to express a higher level of comfort and honesty in communicating. The youth have been quick to catch up with this technology. It has, unofficially, become the status symbol of Filipino youth, who are now far more knowledgeable about a cellphone’s latest features than their parents. Moreover, it has definitely created a unique venue among young Filipinos, where they could express themselves, starting out with the unique text lingo, and by the countless jokes, pieces of advice and graphics that could be sent through it. Young Filipinos have used this technology to look out for dates; get to know potential beaus; meet new people, outside their current circle of friends; and essentially, become the glue that has bonded the barkada (close friends) together during happy days like gimik (fun-filled night-time activities) as well as during those sad days (breaking-up with the boyfriend).…

    1. The online dating industry is very competitive. There are a handful of dating websites such as match.com, EHarmony and OkCupid. These online websites are extremely popular and put up a good fight when compared to Plenty of Fish (PoF). Having been a past member of both PoF and OkCupid, it is tough for me to choose which one I prefer because they are both free and I enjoyed using them while I was out “playing the field”. With the tech world evolving so fast, the competition is growing at record-breaking speeds and the dating space has a lot more techies and startups trying to penetrate the market and innovate the next best app. Smartphones allow people to do almost everything they can do on a computer on their phone, including accessing dating websites. Over the past several years, mobile applications have been the new hot thing in the market. Old and new dating innovators picked up on this trend, and now you often hear about another dating app that has been launched and gaining traction. In order for PoF to compete with the new apps they also created an app, but they are still facing competition from similar types of apps that offer free dating opportunities and are targeting a younger market. Some of those apps are Tinder, Hinge and Coffee Meets Bagel. Although these apps are somewhat similar to one another, people are still using them instead of PoF because its concept allows you to meet someone much quicker and with less effort. In these apps all you have to do is swipe to the right or the left depending on whether you are interested or attracted to the person on the screen. This process makes it easier because you don’t have to personally browse through a list of people. Today’s generation wants to do everything fast and expects instant results. That is the main reason these types of dating apps are a big hit. Other dating websites are not the sole competition that PoF faces. Social media sites such as Facebook and MeetUp…
