The Berkshire Hills Bancorp is the parent of Berkshire Bank. The organization has approximately $6.0 billion in assets and 90 full service branch offices in Massachusetts, New York, Connecticut, and Vermont providing personal and business banking, insurance, and wealth management services. (Berkshire Hills Bancorp, 2014). The organization has a hiring process that needs updating to be able to identify the best candidate for the open positions.
The project to implement a new hiring process for the Berkshire Hills Bancorp will utilize a software program to assist in the management of the project. The Ace Project software has project management and collaboration, time and expense tracking, document management and mobile accessibility features that will result in productivity and profitability to all projects (Ace Project, 2014).
This project to implement a new hiring process has four phases which include, defining the project, researching the options, executing the process and implementing the new hiring process. The project is scheduled to be completed in 49 days. A team of 4 people will be established to accomplish the goal of implementing an updated hiring process that will include questions that will better assist the hiring official to determine the person that will be the best fit for the position available.
The requirements of this project entail gathering a team together to complete a great deal of research to find the best hiring practices. The team will also complete some assessments of the new method or techniques for the new hiring process. Define the risks that the project may come across as the project progresses, the team will also determine what skill set is needed to develop the new hiring questionnaire, and once the process has been selected test the new process to ensure the new process is a success.
