I feel honored to be able to pursue my degree at Point Loma Nazarene University knowing the support I will receive while pursuing my education and hoping to find a sense of direction. To this point I am not certain of what career path I would like to choose, other then it being business related. In a way I have felt God has always blessed me in life by giving me so many opportunities, one of them being able to attend this school. I feel their is a bigger reason then just earning a degree for why I am studying at Point Loma Nazarene University. The curriculum along
with the guidance of the faculty and being able to build a stronger relationship with God, my peers and self will surely lead me on a journey I am anxious to go on. 220

In this generation I feel many teenagers or young adults are faced with a sense of meaningless or uncertainty of what comes next in life after graduating high school.
Everyone is told to go to school get a degree in order to get a good job and many students blindly do this without ever realizing what they actually want to become. Speaking from personal experiences I find myself in the lost phase where I am unsure of what the future holds for me and what direction to go in. While other schools do not this into consideration, Point Loma Nazarene University understands this and has created an environment to allow every student to embrace these challenges and uncertainty’s. Point Loma Nazarene University’s guiding principles allow for students to gain help in areas aside from academics in order to build character and values and face all
obstacles.

While attending school students are pushed to experience spiritual development. Giving students options aside from academic growth allow for students to open their mind in other aspects then just book related topics. The school provides ministry opportunities and even if students do not take advantage of these benefits courses from the curriculum push students to search for religious relationships. Regardless if they are within the community, other students, themselves or God students are able to receive this growth at school. This school has allowed me to open my mind to different religious aspects then before when I would mainly only experience this interaction at church.
At other schools students are given an education and seen as another statistic to add to their schools reputation. At Point Loma Nazarene University their is a culture established that treats students not like a statistic but rather like the future. The environment that has been instilled at Point Loma Nazarene University is the reason for its success with its students. Students are able to find themselves, refocus themselves, or at the very least obtain an education or spiritual relationship while attending Point Loma Nazarene University. Students are given a family at this school through building relationships with their peers and faculty. In addition with the resources provided they everyone goes on a journey towards finding growth.

for students to succeed in school their mind has to be stressless in order to have the ambition to learn. Plnu has created a welcoming and accepting atmosphere of every student knowing they will have their personal struggles to overcome.
