A. With reference to the case given under the above module Woolworths Limited is the main largest Supermarket founded in 1924. Under the name of Woolworths there are 175,000 workforce and in more that 700 locations in Australia, Hongkong, Newzeeland, India, Japan and South Africa. Woolworths is one of the companies who are doing the business in Sydney’s Imperial Arcade.
As Australia's largest food retailer and second largest private employer, Woolworths recognizes we have a high level of social responsibility, and we take these responsibilities seriously. We've implemented a broad range of community and environmental initiatives to help give back to our customers and the local communities that support us.
We have a firm commitment to helping our staff through training and development programs, and most importantly, to servicing our customers by providing high quality fresh produce and the best service, at the lowest possible prices.
