Anyone who wishes to have prayer in their lives as well as in school should be able too. Prayer in school has been a controversial issue for many years. There are people that think teachers as well as students should be able to pray as they wish without getting into trouble or any other sort of consequences. As you may know this however, is not always the case. School prayer would result in many societal benefits. The public school system is tragically disintegrating as evidenced by the rise in school shootings, increasing drug use, alcoholism, teen pregnancy, and HIV transmission. School prayer can help combat these issues, would instill a sense of morality and is desperately needed to protect our children. (Religion and Schools Prayer) Prayer in school should be accepted everywhere in the United States. Some people’s religious beliefs require prayer in school, as well as many other places. Students say the pledge of allegiance everyday. This is considered a “prayer.” Also there are many family traditions throughout the United States that have been going on for generations, why should people be punished for this; it just does not make sense. People should be able to pray as the wish too.
From the day a person is born they, are brought up in there own religious beliefs. Not everyone is from taught the same way as a child, most religious beliefs are passed down from parent to child. Not everyone comes from the same religious back round as the next person; therefore everyone has a different belief. Everyone is entitled to their own beliefs whether or not you agree or disagree with it. “School prayer would address the needs of the whole person. Schools must do more than train children’s minds academically.
