Qualifications Of A Presidential Election “Someday I shall be president.” (Abraham Lincoln) When I read this I think about what qualities are important for presidents to be elected. Qualities include knowledge of current and historical events, a good communicator, integrity, courage, and strong work ethic. Presidents should be good communicators. For example, Ronald Reagan, he was a really good communicator.Ronald earned his title because of his skill at talking evocatively and using folksy anecdotes that ordinary people could understand. He confronted problems of vast complexity, but he approached the solutions to these problems from these core values that he learned as a youngster in the midst of the Great Depression, the Second World War, and the rise of the Communist threat. Why should presidents have information on what’s going on in the world? Presidents should know what happened in history and what is going on in the world. Because if they become the president, they have no idea what’s going on in the world, then why should they run? What is integrity? Integrity is when the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles, moral uprightness.Why is this important to being a president?
