Employees develop leadership skills through several ways. One way to gain these skills is to attend class-based leadership training programs. Professional organizations offer these class-based leadership programs through their organization. Two organizations that provide these type of courses is the American Management Association (AMA) and the American Association of Health Care Access Management (NAHAM). The similarities in these programs are that they are both designed to provide interested applicants the opportunity to work in an area of their interest as they are learning new skills. As the candidates work through these programs, they are learning new skills and experiences as they are being mentored or becoming an apprentice to a senior level employee.
