Animal testing is the scientific use of animals in research to find cures for diseases. The experiments may require killing the animal to find research. Those who agree with animal testing argue that it is useful since it allows scientists to find medicines and cures. On the other hand, others argue that animals are being mistreated in the process. I think animal testing should be banned since it is cruel, other alternatives can be used in place, the body systems of humans and animals differ, and is expensive.
Animals have brains, hearts, and breathe just like humans. However, human beings take advantage and use animals for experiments, which is cruel and unhuman. Experiments were done to study the effects of tobacco on people. Smoke from cigarettes were used on the animals, showing that tobacco did not cause cancer. With this, the warning about tobacco as a cause of cancer was unknown for years, leading to many human deaths due to lack of information.
