Quiche
Quiche is not a dish, which is traditionally associated with Mexico, but it is possible to give delicious Mexican flavor to this recipe and combine this amazing egg-based snack with typical Mexican flavors.

A quiche is a savory, creamy baked egg mixture in a pastry crust. Meat, cheese, and vegetables are popular additions and a quiche is usually like an open pie without a lid. There might be pastry off-cuts or tomato slices on top, as a garnish. This tasty dish can be served for breakfast, lunch, dinner or as a snack and it is nice warm or chilled.

Popular ingredients include ham, bacon, cheese, broccoli, fresh tomatoes, garlic, sun-dried tomatoes, chicken, onion, mushrooms and zucchini, as well as various fresh or dried herbs. You can get quiches from the store but nothing beats a homemade one.

Sometimes you can give your recipes a flavor of Mexico by simply adding some sour cream, avocado, chili powder or another Mexican ingredient.

If you are a fan of pasta meals, you can give them a Mexican flavor by adding ground beef and tomatoes. Sprinkle Pepper Jack cheese over the top rather than the parmesan you might have been thinking of. What about using sour cream instead of mayonnaise to make a tuna salad or egg salad? Add a pinch of cayenne pepper too, for some extra spice.

Beef and Onion Quiche - Step by Step

The following recipe makes enough quiche for eight people. The taco seasoning adds flavor without adding too much spice. Quiche is usually mild-flavored and the following recipe is a great interpretation of this French dish because the sour cream, cheese, olives, tomatoes, lettuce, and onions garnishing the top give it a true Mexican touch and the dish itself is really flavorful.
