The time that is allotted for different subjects or other components of a daily schedule at school.…
The responsibilities for driving and doing school work are two different things. Responsibilities in the classroom comes from intelligence and time management. Maintaining a high average in school does not guarantee responsibilities while driving. School is all about passing. Students stay up late at night just to make sure they get all their work done and study which is not a good thing because then they are not getting enough sleep.…
The issue on the table is that California is trying to pass a ¨no pass/no drive¨ law to encourage high school students to get better grades and not drop out. I believe that this law should be passed because of the 25% drop out rates in schools in America and the proof to show that No pass/No drive laws work.…
A curfew would create a safer life for teenagers who may fail to realize the risk of being outside at night. Most people know the consequences of becoming tired. Being sleep deprived leads to irrational decisions and loss of motor skills. Allowing teenagers to stay out later would increase the risk of poor decisions being made. These decisions could include illegal behavior but also poor social decisions like saying something you wish you could take back. Drowsiness while driving could prove fatal for a teenage driver and any surrounding people due to decreased reaction time. This also does not only effect teenagers when they are driving but also when they are a pedestrian. It has been proven that driving while tired is just as bad as driving intoxicated. Being out later only increases the risks of being in an automobile accident for young drivers or pedestrians. The additional issue of teenage drivers and pedestrians being out at night is visibility. For young drivers, their inexperience and delayed reaction time is only more greatly hindered when it is dark outside. The inability to see pedestrians and large animals, such as deer, in time will be much higher if no curfew is enforced. This could pose a safety threat to the driver as well as people…
Time management becomes crucial to the students’ success. However, there is a difficulty in acclimating prior schedules to meet current demands. More so, students are…
In several states, legislators have been debating on whether or not it should be required for students to keep a “C” grade average before receiving a driver’s license. Some people are skeptic on this decision and believe that it is unfair for a teenage to maintain a “C” average to receive a driver’s license. I personally disagree with this statement and think it would improve the well-being of most teenagers. There are several reasons why having the incentive of being allowed to legally drive is a good thing. Students will become more responsible, they will get a good insurance policy, and it will make teenagers more grateful for the things we often take for granted.…
Teens not being able to drive will be a substantial burden on parents. With the constant flow of after school activities, such as, sports, music, clubs, and work, there needs to be more than two drivers in the household. Parents often are at work when the extra activities are taking place and cannot afford to take time from their job. When teens are able to drive it alleviates this burden by allowing them to drive themselves. High school students can also help their parents out by chauffeuring their siblings. Adults would no longer…
Humans understand with actions follow repercussions, whether these repercussions are negative or positive is up to circumstance. To keep a well-balanced government, the government must provide consequences for several things including acts that do harm to others. Texting while driving causes harm to many people annually. In many cases the driver who was texting while driving survived the accidents however, the people they hit may not be as fortunate. Families are broken and people are lost due to this negligence and the U.S government must put a stop to it. If there was a heavier and more serious consequence for people who text while driving the amount of accidents caused by this will decrease dramatically. Also consequences will provide justice for the families that have lost loved ones because of the mistake of another driver. Once this ban is in order the deaths caused by texting while driving will dramatically decrease and the people that are affected by it may receive…
I feel that it isn’t really the legislators place to decide that only kids with good grades get their driver’s license. It’s only the parents/ guardians place to decide if their own child should get their driver’s license or not. It would almost be taking some freedom away, because parents/guardians can raise their children however they want, that isn’t illegal of course, but if legislators pass this policy, that’s something parents don’t have a say in when raising their children. Some parents may want their teen to have their driver’s license even if the teen doesn’t have good grades. Some may not, but it’s the parents’ choice. An example is if the parent needed the teen to be able to drive around and do errands for them because the parent is too busy but their grades aren’t to the policy’s requirements, then the teen wouldn’t be able to help their parents out because there’s a policy against teens getting their license while having bad grades. Also, if the parent had become temporarily or even permanently disabled and couldn’t drive but needed to be chauffeured places by their teen…
Lowering the driving age would minimise the amount of stress that is put on parents and the young adult, as there is so much stress on parents, as they are having to get everyone to everywhere on time, but also get themselves to places on time. Which does not allow time for a parent to have time for themselves (especially for a parent whom parents alone). For the adolescent who is not relying on others, will make them have more responsibilities and can be taken more accountable for their own action in…
No amount of practice or freedom should matter when it comes to the lives of others. Driving is a serious matter and should be given to adults who are mature enough to handle driving. If teenagers took a step back and thought about the consequences of driving, they would understand that no one's life is worth a little bit more freedom. No parent should have to bury their child on account of the risk they took by getting behind the wheel. The driving age should be raised to save the millions of lives that could be lost…
Some high schoolers have a different time than others high schoolers why because they are from different states and country and can speak different languages also but high schoolers also have different time. High schoolers have different time then middle schoolers and under age kids. High schoolers are special and hate getting up early and leaving early. Some high schoolers are the same as some middle schoolers and have different time. Some schools love getting up early to go to school.…
There are numerous risk factors to driving, these both cause danger to the students and other drivers on the road. The school is liable for students during school hours' even if the student decides to drive off campus, this can be nerve racking to many people because of the people who do not listen. The school has to provide a parking lot for all of the students to park their vehicles during the school day. Finally, there is the risk of the students have illegal substances in their vehicles. With these points I stated I think that it is more beneficial to not have students drive to…
How would you feel if someone that you held dear to your heart was severely injured or robbed of his or her life over a simple text message? What would be your choice of action if you received a text message while driving? Texting while driving is a dangerous habit that drivers have developed due to texting’s popularity and entertainment. However, the dangers of this unsafe habit should to be prevented by enforcing stronger laws. Texting while driving has taken numerous lives from innocent people while also causing a greater amount of injuries. Although many people over look the dangers of texting while driving due to their own personal reason, research has proven why we should take this habit more seriously. Texting while driving should be forbidden because drivers will not stop on their own, lives are at risk, and statistics have shown how dangerous it is.…
Automobile crashes as a result of texting while driving is an epidemic that has taken our nation by storm over the past decade. Whether people think they can safely type on their phone while driving, or just don’t think there is any real danger in the act does not matter. Texting while driving must be stopped. To do this our government must take action to both add uniformity to the laws and punishments bestowed on the offenders. But, it is also vital that the government provide ample educational programs in order to spread the message about the dangers of tapping the keyboard while behind the wheel.…
