I must admit, I was nearly terrified of being in Honors Algebra 2. I had heard about how much work, time, and sacrifice of sleep the class had cost my fellow peers, but I was still determined to take it. I was use to taking all the honors classes, because I wanted to do the best I could. In most honors classes there would be a lot of work, but I did not have to study much to get a good grade because doing, things in class would be good enough for me to remember it. Needless to say, I definitely could not do that with Honors Algebra 2. Taking Honors Algebra 2 not only taught me things about myself, but also the world around me. Math is definitely not my strongest subject, but I did realize that math was used in everyday life previous to the class. Now, after taking this class, I can see so much more of how it pertains to buildings, bridges, prices, and the environment. I also have a bit of a stronger understanding of how trigonometry functions work, as well as a good base that I can continue to learn on for the unit circle. I have heard from some fellow peers that the unit circle is very important in Pre-Calculus. I also have never had to work as hard or felt more proud for a good test grade as I did during this class. Every time I would get a good grade on a test or quiz, I would literally be jumping for joy inside. When a test was scheduled, I made sure to do the study guides and look over the homework packet. Since I was one of the very few that did my homework almost every night, I realized exactly how much it helped with solidifying what was taught in class. When I did not do my homework one night, I would be lost for a while the next day in class, so it was definitely more worth sitting down and taking the time to do the homework then having to double time it in class to understand something I already should and learn something new at the same time. When I still didn’t understand something, I would look in book at examples, but I rarely
