I came to Snow College the fall after I graduated high school in 2014. While I was here I did not really care much for my education. Instead I would find any reason I could to not go to class like playing video games or working during class time. I only came because my parents had forced me to. I had no reason to come to snow and after the first semester I packed up and went home. I got a job and began to save my money for a car and a computer. I became a manager at the store I worked for and saved enough money to move to my own place.
Six months later I met a beautiful girl. She was just starting her senior year in high school. We went on a couple of dates and things became more serious. She talked a lot about going to college …show more content…
However, after a lot of thought I decided since I had another year and a half before I could join the police force that I should go back to school and get an associate’s degree so I would have an edge in the job market if being a police officer didn’t work out. In February, my girlfriend and I came on a tour of the school and she fell in love with the school so I knew I had to come with her.
I still have not decided what I want my major to be yet I am stuck between criminal justice, biology, and phycology. I am currently just working on my generals. After the next two years she plans to transfer to the University of Utah. I have not made up my mind whether I will go straight to the police academy or continue school at Utah Valley University and get a bachelor’s degree then become a police officer.
I feel that I have made a good choice coming to Snow College. I’m hoping my time here will help me with my future career and my relationship. Also if all goes well I will probably go onto get a higher degree allowing me to advance in a police department or to pursue other options that that become
