Response To Intervention Analysis
Response to Intervention (RTI) is a tiered-model approach for supporting struggling students and identifying possible learning and behavior needs.
A Tier 1 building level, focuses on balancing the needs of the entire student population and the resources available to the class. Critical areas to examine include, identification of student needs and the effectiveness of the core instruction or the instruction that all students receive every day.
The modified plan links to EYLF learning Outcome 2 Connectedness when students in the class listen to others and to respect diverse perspectives (DEERW, 2009).
To achieve this goal implement Math Centres: Establish independent math centres in the classroom where individuals or small groups of children
can work for at least 15 minutes several times a week.
The original lesson plan (See Appendix B1) will be modified using Tier one for the lower group and labelled a one-star activity.
