The “Right to Lead Model” is important because it provides the ability to evaluate my leadership ability to improve my weak areas. The process starts with identifying my authorities, by defining my assigned positions and social roles. Next, it reflects on obligations and requirements such as deadlines, meetings, operating instructions or industrial standards that I have to follow. Then I must reflect on my competence, character and personality through self-evaluation and by seeking feedback. Finally, I consider my relevance by determining how my actions impact my environment. I will stay committed to completing the mission by completing all tasks, and show my competence by improving existing skills.
