Rikki Davi Character Analysis

In the story, ”Rikki-Tikki-Tavi,” by Rudyard Kipling, Rikki’s mission is to keep his human family safe. This drove him to rid the garden of snakes. In the story, Rikki saves Teddy from getting bit by a very poisonous snake known as Karait. If Rikki didn’t kill Karait and Teddy got bit, by him then he would have been dead in about a minute. Also, in the story Rikki saves Teddy’s father from getting bitten, by a king cobra who he finds waiting there for him in the bathtub. This evidence explains that if Rikki didn’t care whether or not his family was safe he wouldn’t have saved Teddy or his father from getting killed.
