This is seen in William Shakespeare's drama Romeo and Juliet, it’s about two lovers who get in love secretly from two different families who hate each other, and Angela Johnson story “The First Part Last”, where a boy tries to adapt to his new life after becoming a father.A great theme for these stories is,the smallest actions or words can lead to the biggest impact. First of all, in Romeo and Juliet, Act i, …show more content…
But he that hath the steerage of my course direct my sail on lusty gentlemen!” This shows that Romeo had a dream of dying for going to this party. This is important because even though he had a bad feeling about going to this party he still decided to go to the party which later on made him in love and lead him to his death. Another example in Romeo and Juliet is in Act III, scene I Once Tybalt and Mercutio were dueling and Tybalt killed Mercutio, Romeo stated, “Staying for thine to keep him company. Either thou or I, or both go with him.” This reveals That now that Tybalt has killed Mercutio, Romeo now want to duel Tybalt and either him or Tybalt or both are going to die. This is important because it …show more content…
In addition to Romeo and Juliet is First part last on page 25,Bobby was at the doctor and he remember he would ask for doctor notes to get out of school or doing chores he then said, “It didnt have to be a long note.It didnt have to tell anything about a medical condtion. It just had to get me out of staying awake all night, changing diapers every hour, and doing nothing except think of the yawning little things in the white booties.”This shows that Bobby was tired of taking care of a baby and wanted to rest. This is important becuase his descion lead him to have a baby which now he cannot even go to sleep and has to change diaper all night long.Second example in First part last is in page 75, Bobby just came home from jail becuase he was vandalising a wall at night. So once he got back home he went to go check feathers and bobby states,”I climb the stairs and think about holding her, or maybe Im really thinking about just holding on to her.” This shows that he is thinking more about giving her away up for adoption. This is important because of his descion he now realized having a baby is too much stress and cannot handle his consequences.last example on First part last is page 23,When Bobby had a flashback when he was barely adapting to his new baby and he said, “I forgot feathers, and left her all alone.K-boy called me up to hit the nets a little and I said yeah.So I grabbed my basketball, zipped up my jacket, and headed out the front door, got all the way down the elevator.I

This foreshadows the death of tybalt which this is the main turning point in the play One of the ways Shakespeare presents conflict and violence in act 3:1 is dramatic irony to represent conflict and violence as we know Romeo is married to Juliet while no one else does. This would lead to violence if they found out. Tybalt knew Romeo like Juliet but didn’t know they were now family and starts a fight as usual. One of the lines that represents the dramatic irony is when Mercutio receives a wound which he calls a scratch, but he knows it is fatal. Up until then Mercutio was the life and soul of the party. He's a bit eccentric and enjoys having a good time. He is the joker of the group and gravity is alien to him, so there is irony in his words when he is dying. One of the ways Shakespeare presents conflict and violence in act 3:1 is dramatic irony to represent conflict and violence as we know Romeo is married to Juliet while no one else does. Benvolio, who wanted everyone to be friends, warned the guys not to fight in public. Insults were exchanged, but Romeo remembered that Tybalt is his new wife's cousin, so he turned the other cheek. Mercutio found this totally shocking, actually dishonorable, so he offered to fight Tybalt instead. They fought and then Romeo tried to intervene, but Tybalt suddenly stabbed Mercutio. It began with Mercutio and Tybalt almost jokingly fighting. Romeo, though, was worried and tried to end the fight, but instead inflicted more damage. When Romeo comes in between the two, Tybalt’s sword pierced Mercutio from under Romeo’s arm, delivering the blow that would cause the deaths of all of them. Mercutio said, “Why the devil came you between us? I was hurt under your arm.” (p. 231), and Romeo responded, “I thought all for the best”(p. 231). This incident, at least, was an accident. Tybalt had not intended to kill Mercutio, but Romeo messed them up by trying to pull Mercutio away. Romeo didn’t intend for him to be killed either, he was just attempting to stop the fighting. Because Mercutio died, Romeo was filled with anger, and in order to avenge Mercutio, decided to kill Tybalt, which led to his banishment. Romeo demanded that Tybalt duel him, saying “And fire-eyed fury be my conduct…
