Roseland. Two of the staff members go from room to room in the families as well as the single women’s until. With this we are looking to see if there are any maintenance issues as well as cleanliness issues. If there are any issues with the cleaning whoever may be residing in that room fails room checks and has until the next day to so improvement or they receive a write-up. Three write-ups then you are out of the program. If there are new families entering into the program then they will have to fill out an application which is for the interview section. I have to get the paperwork, copy the papers, and make a copy one for the family and one for Ms. Sam for while she is learning the process. Then we go into a sit down room where we go through each of the pages and go through what each section of the packet means. When I am at the desk I answer phones and transfer individuals to whomever they are calling to reach. I also deal with the calls of people trying to give donations. When giving donations they can either drop the items off at the location by a trailer we have parked around back or either take the item to our direct stores. Other things I deal with is buzzing individuals into their distinct location, in which the families have their own entrance, the single women have their own entrance, and the single men have their own entrance way. These are usually the task I do during my shifts at the Salvation Army. My daily activities contribute to the mission of the Salvation Army because I am doing what I can to insure that everyone that I come encounter with is treated equally and with respect. I do not discriminate on anyone who I am introduced to, I greet each and every person with a smile. I treat every person with kindness and respect. I believe I up hold the mission very well in each and every task I am given while at the Salvation
