Kobe Bryant & Michael Jordan
Kobe Bryant VS Michael Jordan
When you guys think about Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan, what do you think about? What superstars are you interest watching the most? Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan are my favorite basketball players ever to play the game because they’re successful, both made great impacts on the game, and their role models! Have you seen Kobe’s 81 point game against the Toronto raptors and Michael Jordan game winning shot against Utah jazz on game 7? Games like this makes me want to play basketball so bad, watching games like this makes me want to be another Michael or Kobe!
In the league they’re two great teams with great players in the past years. Michael Jordan with bulls and Kobe Bryant with the Lakers. The most valuable player in the NBA is Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan. Both basketball players have done a lot in the NBA that is similar. They both have three all-star MVP’s but in different years. The first one Michael Jordan got was on 1988, the other one was on 1996, and the last one was on 1998 in Madison square garden. The first MVP Kobe Bryant received was on February 10, 2002, the other one was on 2007 at Las Vegas, and on 2009 at Phoenix Arizona.
Michael Jordan is widely regarded as the best shooting guard in the NBA, some say he might be the best basketball player ever to play the game of basketball. The second best shooting guard behind Michael Jordan is of course Kobe Bryant. Michael Jordan led the league in scoring in 10 seasons, and won once defensive player of the year. Kobe Bryant led the league in scoring in 2 seasons but didn’t get defensive player of the year at all.

My brother Cam “thinks from the year of 2010-2011 that Derrick Rose is better because of the way he has pushed his team to 60 wins or more. Last season the Chicago Bulls was the number one seed in the NBA and following behind the Oklahoma Thunder in the second seed, because of Derrick Rose they were the number one seed in the Eastern Conference for two years and because of Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook and James Harden the Thunder was name the Western Conference number one seed.” This here shows you that Derrick Rose got all the credit while Russell Westbrook only get about twenty-five percent credit. “Derrick Rose is more clutch, because the ball is always in his hand when it comes down to winning a game but Westbrook on the other hand is the second option when it comes down to winning a game” Cam said, I told him that’s only because he have the scoring champ Kevin Durant which coach will always have the ball in Kevin Durant hands to make a play. “Derrick Rose has the ability to take over the game, by him being able to assist the ball he had to create more because of the lack of talent to take over games,” but every team has that guy who takes over the game and Derrick Rose is that guy for the Bulls but for Thunder Kevin Durant is the guy who takes over games and Westbrook steps up when he have to.…

In Jordan’s rookie year, he averaged 28.2 points per game while shooting 51.5 percent from the field. Jordan proved to not only be a one ways player with his contributions outside of scoring: 5.9 assists per game and 2.4 steals per game. Pippen’s rookie year was not as highlight worthy as Jordan’s averaging 7.9 points per game on 46.3 percent shooting. That said, Kobe Bryant is an amazingly conscious shot-contester. This past season Kobe averaged 0.2 blocks per game, now that not much but during the lockout-shortened 1998-99 campaign, Kobe averaged 1.0 blocks per game. That is impressive for a guard. Away from that season, nothing about Kobe 's shot blocking is noticed on paper. Forwards in the NBA are not really known for their shot blocking ability however, Lebron remains an exception. Between 2007 and 2010, Lebron averaged 1.0 blocks per game. In the past, couple of years that number has dropped to 0.8 blocks per game, only because Lebron started to defend out of position. Still for a person who spends a majority of his time defending out of position, credit much be given where it is…

Through the generations there have been many great athletes who have played in the NBA such as: Bill Russell who is considered to be one of the all-time great Boston Celtics. That is best known for winning eleven straight NBA championship, but he is not considered to be the greatest player due to the fact that during the time he played he didn’t receive the amount of money many people believe he deserved. Players like Allen Iverson who is best known for being one of the most versatile point guards in NBA history, but he is also not considered to be the greatest athlete in NBA history because he never won an NBA championship. Lastly Tim Duncan the power forward for the San Antonio Spurs who has won five NBA championships as well has made millions of dollars over his 17 career in the NBA, but he is also not considered to be the greatest NBA because Tim Duncan is looked…

He was the overall third draft pick in 1984, behind Hakeem Olajuwon and Sam Bowie. The Bulls’ games lacked support from their fans, and they believed that they might even go out of business. To their advantage and surprise, Michael Jordan brought everyone back to their games and created a new world of basketball (Berger 61). In total, Michael scored over thirty-two thousand points averaging about thirty points per game. He played his position as a guard well, but was great on defense too. He grabbed over two thousand steals and eight hundred blocks in a span of nineteen years (Michael Jordan’s Biography). Another remarkable quality was his high intensity and hyper-competitiveness. As a rookie in the NBA, most people did not expect Michael to go so far. He worked hard with one of the best coaches of all time, Phil Jackson, and led his team along with him (Stein). His opponents believed that it was not even fair to play against him since he was unstoppable. One of his opponents, Michael Cooper from the Los Angeles Lakers, said, “There’s no way I can stop him. As soon as he touches the ball…He goes right, left, over you, around and under you. He twists and turns. And you know he’s going to get the shot off. You just don’t know when and how” (Berger 68). This proves how Michael gave an impression of an almost a God-like man when he…
