Heroes dont do good deeds for credit or acknowledgement they usually do them becuase they feel it is the right thing to do .Some are accidental heroes, such as Oskar Schindler who risked almost everything to save thousands of Jews during the Holocauset. Schindler was a very unlikely hero. Oskar Schindler was born on April 28, 1908 in Zwitlau. His father and mother, Hans and Louisa Schindler, were deeply religious. The Schindler family was one of the richest and most prominent in Zwitlau and elsewhere. This was due to the success of their family owned machinery business ("Schindler's List," 1995).In 1929, during the Great Depression, the Schindler family business went bankrupt. his army connections and the explotation of cheap labor Schindler made a fortune(USHMM.org). During the years of 1942 and 1943 Germans shot and deported over 20,000 Jews. Those who survived were moved to Plaszow. In Plaszow there were labor camps which were run by Amon Geoth a S.S. Commandant. Oskar and Amon were associates therefore Schindler was exposed to harsh treatments and killings of Jewish individuals lead by Amon and his men. In a scene from the film (“Schindlers Lists,”1995) Oskar hosed down the Jewish people as they were put on the train to be sent to a concentration camp. Schindler did this because he saw how dehydrated they were and hot from the large quantity of people in the compressed train. Although to the Nazi’s and Geoth it seemed as though Schindler was teasing and mistreating the

Schindler is mainly known for saving Jews by employing them in his factory; however, he used many more strategies to do so. Schindler would make the Nazi officers who would inspect his factory drunk, so they would not see all of Schindler’s workers fumbling while they work. He also made a list, “Schindler’s List”, of people he would buy from concentration camps to work at his factory. This list included his former workers as well as a number of others. When Schindler and Emilie brought new workers into the factory, they nursed them until they were healthy again. Schindler maintained a special relationship with his workers, so they were called “Schindlerjuden” (Schindler Jews). By the end of the war, Schindler was penniless; he had spent all of his money to protect his workers. All of these contributions that Oskar Schindler made has a great effect on American history. Schindler not only saved people’s lives, but he also showed people to use what you have for the benefit of others. Many people look up to Schindler for his sacrifices and his contribution to the end of World War II and the freedom of hundreds of Jewish…

As he had done twice before, Schindler pulled some strings at the top and got permission from German officials to take his workers to the nearby station to rescue the stranded. Once at the station, they forced the doors open to the rail car and removed some 100 half frozen Jews. Schindler's wife Emile did her best to nurse the ill back to health. Those that did not survive were given a proper Jewish burial paid for by Schindler (Paldiel, 1982). Schindler spent infinite amounts of money not only paying for the upkeep of his workers, but paying the government. Schindler was arrested two times while trying to complete his saving operations. Each time, though, he found a new excuse, or paid a little more money. He risked his life, as well as his family's lives, to save a race of people he never even…

To save the Jews from suffering, Schindler wrote a list of names who can board the train. Whomever boarded the train they were headed to a factory in Zwittau-Brinnlitz. At Zwittau-Brinnlitz, they received food, water, clothing, and blankets. At the other factories they previously went to they were treated like animals, but when they arrived at Zwittau-Brinnlitz they were treated like humans. In addition, in the factory Schindler didn't want the SS guards putting their hands on the Jews, instead he wanted them to treat the Jews with respect.…

Heroes are not famous. Heroes are those forgotten into days society because they do not flaunt their actions for everybody to see. Certainly not a football star who donates to charities out of the millions they earn in a single paycheck since that is giving when you have everything or their manager told them it would look good. Or the people that sit behind the desk for a charity instead of adventuring to the places that need that support and help. A hero is someone who is not ignorant to the problems in the world and devotes him or her selves to building their vision of an exceptional world on a based on honesty.…

What is a hero? A hero to me is a person who is brave, has a bunch of courage and knows right from wrong. You don’t have to have a mask or a suit to be a hero. A hero is willing to help a person at anytime. A hero can kill their enemy with kindness. For an example I believe Jackie Robinson is an incredible, life changing hero. He had been the first African American to play in the Major League Baseball. He had played for the Brooklyn Dodgers. They played him and they had ended racial segregation.…
