I believe that this is wrong for many reasons. But, before I get into those reasons, let me tell you something so you don’t think I’m an awful person. Just because someone is gay/lesbian, DOES NOT mean that I won’t be nice to that person. Society these days believe that those who don’t support gay marriage hate those who are that way. That is not true at all. If one of my friends tells me they are gay/lesbian, I’m still going to be friends with them. If they get picked on, yes, I am still going to defend them. Everyone assumes the worst of us who don’t support it. I even get yelled at just because I don’t support it. Society is so messed up these …show more content…
I believe that you can become gay based on your surroundings, though there is a lot of controversy around that. Either way, it still isn’t right. I think of marriage this way: You know those necklaces that are magnetic in the shape of a heart that you can buy that say stuff on them? Think of the necklace as two people of opposite sex. They fit together complementary, meaning that they will magnetically stick together. But, you can have two sides of a necklace (two of the same half of the necklace), they don’t stick together complementary. See what I mean? I also believe that gay marriage is not natural at all. First, people are going to marry people of the same sex, the next thing you know, people are going to want to marry their pets! One guy legally married his lawn mower, (don’t believe me? look it up). Statistics say that in order for a child to have a “normal” lifestyle, they need a male and female role model. If a child has two dads or two moms, then they won’t grow up
