Should Kids Have Freedom To Speak
The girls are spreading rumors and telling secrets, and it just feels as if I’m put in a weird situation .Is there something wrong with me? Or am I really what they say I am? Everyone in this room has probably been bullied at least once in their life. It’s not the best feeling is it? It makes one feel insecure, humiliated and very uncomfortable I will talk about bullying in my speech which I relate to freedom to speak. I believe that kids should have the freedom to speak because, firstly you’re showing them that silence is a sign of approval. Secondly when you speak up you show them that you are as strong as they are, lastly it helps you with your self-confidence.

Firstly silence is showing the bully that they have the freedom to kick you, hurt you and pull your rights away. So, when you feel bullied or you can see and feel your rights are going away, you should speak up .Show them

Show them that you are as strong as they are. Tell them that showing of will have no place in the future. When I say be strong I don’t mean attack them ,and whatever they do you do it to someone else .I mean make them know that all the things they did in the past still won’t affect you.

Finally, Self-confidence is one of the best ways to have a successful life, yet so many people struggled to find it. Sadly, there are many people who don’t have the confidence to speak up, which is the major reason for people to pull your rights away. Many people who lack confidence have struggle to be successful in their life.

Although the bully could tell you all the reasons that he thinks it is right to bully someone, there is no possible reasons for taking someone’s rights and hurting them emotionally and verbally. Being a bully is no good, and it may hurt the victim now but in the future the bully will get hurt he will get used to be rough and he would look bad in front of

First of all, in Elie Wiesel’s Night, there is a scene in the book exactly showing how silence can perpetuate violence. Idek had gotten mad for a reason that Elie has no idea and Idek takes it out on Elie, “As I bit my lips in order not to howl with pain, he must have mistaken my silence for defiance and so he continued to hit my harder”(Wiesel 53). This is an exact example of silence perpetuating violence. But, not all violence is physical and that is shown in bullying even in today’s society. Unless you tell someone or the person that is bullying you that they’re hurting you…

Bullying happens when they are not around either of them people and also some kids are too scared to tell their parents because they don’t know how they will act nor do they know if they will stop getting bullied or if it would happen more. The victims of such actions need to understand that they can get out of that situation and also that they can sometimes do it by themselves because being bullied can mess a child up in the long run(Jacobs and McMahon np). The child can become antisocial or become very insecure about themselves, which no child deserves to go through all their lives. Not only do the people that get bullied become very distressed but also the people who witness the action happening can become very uncomfortable and stressed. This isn’t fair to the witnesses either because it can mess with their physical, mental, psychological and social well beings, along with the victim’s well being too. These problems with the victims and witnesses well beings can have a long term effect which isn’t good for either of them (Jacobs and McMahon np). Some of these situations lead to physical threats which are the one of the most common types of bullying. Also, most…

When you’re bullied all these emotions over whelms your body. In the process of getting picked on you think to yourself what you should do and why is this happening. If you speak up and say harsh words or get even with the bully, what makes you any better? On the other hand you feel like if you walk away things will keep going as it is, so you should do something. No matter what you think is best to do at the time the only right answer is to tell them how you feel about how they treat you. Explain to the person how you feel and you do not appreciate the way they are treating you. Then go to your parents or a teacher you trust and have them help you.…

Bullying has become an epidemic, and it needs to come to an end. If people will stand up for each other and protect each other, I believe bullying would cease to be effective. It preys on those who do not have the confidence to defend themselves. Often times, the bully hurts others as a way of protecting himself. He believes that if he attacks others, then they will not know he himself is hurting, or has been hurt in the past. It becomes a coping mechanism for him. The biggest thing to keep in mind is that bullying should not be responded to with more violence. They need to be shown love, but firm love. A love that says, “I love you enough to not let you continue down this path. Let me show you another way.” Then you are not only l protecting those that the bully hurts, but also you are protecting the bully himself in the long run.…

In the past it was bound that a lot of people get bullied. I don’t like bullying, but I think that you should stand up. By standing up for yourself I don’t mean by going and telling someone. Most likely you are going to get bullied more than before if you do that. In the story “American History,” Elena, who is one of the main characters was getting bullied. According to Cofer the author there were these girls that were calling…

Before, in the 20th century, bullying was a regular thing in everyday life. In this time, no one paid attention to effect that bullying had on kids because no one at the time showed any serious reaction to bullying. In 1999, two seniors at Columbine High School killed a total of 13 people which brought attention to the world. With a link of aggression and bullying, this became more serious issue. Entering the new century, many of those who have had a personal connection with bullying or some one who has been bullied have been speaking out and against this issue while others stay silent against this cause. Those who advocate against bullying and those who stay silent, both participate in this way because of personal experiences and personal fears.…

First, I would like to explain the aspects and outcomes of bullying and being bullied. A lot people think being bullied is having someone threaten to take your lunch money or beating you up after school, that isn’t always the case. In some situations, bullying can go to the extreme. Bullying can take a person to the point of no return and can lead some of the calmest people into dangerous acts like self-harm and…

Some of the best responses to a bully who does not realize their behavior is, in fact, intentional, is to address it with a role reversal approach. Ask how they would feel in that situation. The objective is to offer assistance with seeing how their activities influence others. In doing so, parents, teachers, and school staff can establish empathy (Paraclete Press, 2003).…

First, I can stand up against the bully. When someone is being bullies most people just stand back and watch. I realize people are often scared. When I stand up against them I always have a crony or two with me. If they are outnumbered they often feel more threatened. If everyone would proclaim the face that bullying is wrong I know there would be a lot less suffering. I have never wavered in my decision on whether or not it is wrong. At my school when my friend Amber stepped in to stop the bullying, everyone thought of it as a stoical act. She is now a hero of the school. I believe it is my job to stand up for what’s right and never back down. Sometimes it is dangerous to stand against someone.…
