The question is should NASA fund asteroid studies? I think they should fund the asteroid studies because it could help us move to other places, it could save lives by building inventions that capture the asteroids, along with us trying to see if they have valuable resources. I believe it could help with protection, lifestyles and resources. The reasoning for these things is to help us out incase we try to move to a different places in our solar systems such as Mars. We could also try to build stuff that lets us go further in space. We could also find other life if NASA funds the mission like plants of life that could be similar to us.

The first reason NASA should fund asteroid studies is that it could help with resources. Scientist say

Imagine if you could live on a different planet and have more stuff or space. Well you see having a different lifestyle isn’t always good but it could lead to us having another planet. The planet could give us resources that we can rely on like metals such as platinum, copper, iron, and maybe gold if lucky. These resources could build us better houses or have more protection and resistance to the bad weather conditions. Like on Earth we have had many hurricanes that hit the US. The supplies on the different planet could give us a new way to live. We could make more advance houses than what others have. It could also give us better technology that could make us so advance we don’t need to use the expensive oil or gas we can make them more solar powered by using these metals.

This mostly was for why NASA fun the asteroid studies. I thought they should because it would help with protection, resources and our lifestyle. The resources would help a lot during inventions and buildings and other things. The lifestyle can change our way of life like technology it can make us more advance such as more durable stuff that can last longer than what we have. We could make more building that would be a little bit more stable. This all can help us because it can make all of us advance than other states. Thank you for reading this

You must take into account this though; that the fate of the entire world and the human race may be on NASA 's shoulders. I 'm sure you have all seen movies like Armageddon and Deep Impact, and believable or not these Earth striking comets are a very real possibility. The only way we will have fair warning if this comes to pass will be through the efforts of agencies like NASA. The only organizations even considering the possibilities and contingency plans are those like NASA. This is not fear mongering either; the widely accepted notion that Earth has been hit by a comet before resulting in the extinction of species like the dinosaurs is proof enough that it is possible. It may very well be that one day NASA saves the Earth from destruction, and we will breath sigh of relief that we kept them…

It is unarguable that there are problems here on Earth. From terrorism to health care and the economy, America and the rest of the world have problems that need to be solved. While there are problems here on Earth, the United States should continue to fund space exploration because it contributes to national security, stimulates the economy and leads to further technological advancements. America cannot afford to stop exploring space in an effort to solve other problems. Instead the U.S. needs to take a look at how space exploration is already working to solve those other problems.…

Is the space race really worth it? In a world embroiled in endless problems, starting from rising food and oil prices, poverty, hunger, illiteracy, high infant mortality rate, terrorism to the threat of global warming and climate change, one may question the significance of the world beyond ours. In a state of global political and social instability, is the space race really worth it? Taking into account the 8 millennium development goals, projected to be achieved by 2030 instead of 2015, and the prosperity the achievement of these goals will bring about, the space race does not seem superficial to it. The importance of human lives is irreplaceable. Thus, striving to locate extra terrestrial life forms is not worth the effort; especially when every 3.6…

Inevitably, the human population remaining on this planet will eventually lead to our demise. Our population is growing exponentially and there will soon not be enough resources to keep us alive. Spreading to other planets, whether using its resources or living there, can help sustain our species longer. When our planet is out of resources, we can rely on another planet to keep our life going. We could also change the way we live on earth, because when scientists in exploring the space they keep inventing new things and achieving new technologies that could improve our daily life. It gives human beings more knowledge about the universe. We might also find new living creatures and minerals. This might really help our country be more of a leader. If possible, we might find some living beings in space. Maybe we are not alone in this immense universe. Answers might be answered. There might be needs in the outer space. People might challenge themselves and find out more and more about space. Last but not least, Companies could have more and more money. According to the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), the U.S. Spends about 18.7 billion dollars a year on space exploration. While that sounds like a large number, you must ask yourself if that cost is worth the advancement of mankind. To put that number into perspective, Americans spent 110 billion dollars on fast food for 2009. Does that justify the cost of space exploration? Maybe not, but it should be mentally noted that the quest for knowledge in regards to space and how the universe works is relatively small in terms of cost. Why Explore Space? Human beings by nature are explorers. We enjoy going to new places, discovering new things and seeking out knowledge. If this were not the case we might still be using clubs and thinking the Earth was flat. Exploring space not only fulfills a nature driven quality in humans, it also gives us the knowledge we need for advancement. Whether this knowledge…

Perhaps, the strongest argument in favour of space travel is the overflow of population. The number of people is increasing, habitable land is decreasing, planet's resources and fossil fuels are running out. As of today's date, the world population is estimated by the United States Census Bureau to be 7.108 billion. Therefore some analysts predict that in the coming time there will be a global crisis due to shortage of key resources. So, finding suitable planet for living can is good appropriate solution to this problem (until another planet can accommodate humanity).…
