Should We Kill Animals for Fur
Fur is one of the oldest types of clothing, that animals have been killed for years and years in order to provide clothing for human beings. From the history, it can be seen that animal fur was one of the clothes material for our old ancestors. In 21st century, technology has been developed very well that we do not have to use genuine animal fur anymore. We can use fake fur or fake weather to protect us from the weather. The fact is, in 21st century some people still use genuine animal fur for their clothes although they do not have to. The question of killing animals for fur is very difficult because there are a lot of different reasons for people to kill animals and a great number of reasons why people must not do it. Killing animals takes away millions of life in farms and in wild. According to the “Orange Country People For Animals ( OCPA)” organization, it was noticed that 50 million animals are killed so that their fur can be used by the fashion industry. Moreover, 130,000 animals slaughtered every day just so that someone else can wear their coats. Furthermore, apart from these facts approximately more than 100 million animals are reported killed by hunters each year. That number does not include the millions of animals for which kill figures are not maintained by state wildlife agencies. Especially in autumn, the time of year when millions of people renew their love affair with guns and head for against wildlife. Hunters kill animals for money, food, fur and even for pleasure and for fun. By killing them for fun, they eat their foods and certainly don’t leave their skins. So, by analyzing how many animals are killing each year and the majority of animals used for fur live on fur farms. According to the research in OCPA, trapping has banned in 63 countries and four US states. But still, there is a big amount of people who are killing animals.
