My favorite childhood toy
Toy! To some people it might sound childish. To others it might sound dumb. But, to the rest of us, "toy" is a word with a lot of sentimental value. I'm sure we all had that one special toy that you couldn't go anywhere without. For me that toy was an old, miniature jeep. I could only play with it at home and during the day. But I still loved that jeep the most. It is weird because I had all the toys in the world and still loved the simplest toy.

When I got the jeep, it was so shiny and bright. It had an amazing red exterior and an awesome blue interior. It seemed like it was always charging but, I guess I was just always riding in it. It had fake tinted windows and an orange radio that didn't work. But, it was fun to play with. The jeep only went five or six miles an hour which isn't fast to me today but when you are three that is a pretty remarkable speed. The coolest feature of the jeep were the wheels they were really big and had fake chrome wheels. I'm sure you are thinking why in the world was this kid’s favorite part of the jeep the wheels. Well, the truth is when I rode in the jeep it made me feel like I was at the top of the world, and I always thought that was because of the wheels.

The jeep was so special because it was the first toy that moved when you pressed the gas pedal. I had big toys before but not like this. I also had toys with a gas pedal but when you pressed it you didn't move an inch. When I got it I thought this is the kind of toy all your friends have but you don't. You only get to look at there's and ride in it every once in a while, which is hard but I got used to it. Once I got the jeep it was the best out of all of my friends jeeps and every wanted to ride in it. I felt cool and like everyone wanted to be my friend. One day though it all changed. I was riding my jeep in the backyard, and I decide to go drive in the drive way. I acted like I was on a track and pushed the pedal to the

The Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 10th anniversary edition is worth considering buying for its unique features and overall finesse of the vehicle. Merely going off the jeep wrangler rubicon 10th anniversay edition reviews, it is definitely worth taking a quick, or maybe longer look at then others, with one of a kind interier and exterier. "Popularmechanics.com" gives a breakdown of the main aspects car buyers look at, price, fuel economy, driving character, and of course the details that make it the 10th anniversary edition. According to Dan Carneys review, "the 10th Anniversary Edition of the Wrangler Rubicon adds a unique red leather interior and a few off-road features that Jeep fanatics will appreciate"(1). I can definitely agree with the author on how the red interior and off road features add a little more eye candy for the buyers. That little extra detail really makes the eyes wonder a little while longer, compared to an all black interior. Though, driving an off-road truck on-road is probably one of the biggest concerns buyers will have here.…

The Fury, the fastest, longest, and tallest rollercoaster on the East Coast. With a top speed of 95 mph and a height of 325 feet makes it the biggest rollercoaster I had ever gotten on, beating the Intimidator 305 by 25 feet. I remember seeing on television and wanting to ride it really badly. It just looked so amazing and since I love rollercoasters and love riding rollercoasters, I knew it was something I had to do. I had ridden lots of rollercoasters before this one such as the Intimidator 305 and the Top Thrill Dragster, which I had enjoyed riding very much, and I figured that the Fury would be just as good. So I asked my parents of we could go to the Carrowinds to ride the Fury. They said yes and we went with my aunt to the Carrowinds.…

Idealism describes the belief or pursuit of a perfect vision often based upon unrealistic principles. This pursuit is often contrasted and opposed by truth. The truth and reality in an individual’s life is what enables this person to remain grounded and down to earth. An individual must set themselves high expectations in order to be their best, but they must also acknowledge the fact that everything they desire is not achievable. The imbalance of idealism and truth in an individual’s life can have calamitous effects. It is significant in an individual’s life because it can lead to the deterioration of an individual’s sanity, destruction of family relationships and ultimately death. This is exemplified in Death of a Salesman by Arthur Miller, by Willy Loman. Willy spends his whole life pursuing the American Dream. This pursuit leaves him in debt and lacking less than a sliver of sanity. This man lacks the capacity to face the truth; the reality of his situation. The negative effect that his dream has on his family and life is simply overlooked and ignored. As Willy’s life swerves out of control, he tumbles deeper into the abyss of his idealism, to a point of no return.…

I snap back to reality and notice that my speedometer read 30 mph. I was in a 20 mph zone. I slam on the brakes to slow down. Behind me, a driver lays on his horn to tell me how irresponsible my last decision was. I reach for the radio and turn the tuner dial until I find something upbeat and groovy. As I remove my hand, I begin to hit on the steering wheel like a drum. The steering wheel is black and coverless. It sounds good when I hit it. It is also keeping me awake at the moment. My step mom sat next to me in the passenger’s seat messing around with her phone. She never pays attention to me when I’m driving. I see a curb on the next right turn I have to take. After running over the curb, my step mom glances up to make sure I did not hit anyone. When realizing that everything is fine, she goes back to Facebook on her phone. The darkness of night was exhausting. My eyes fluttered in the beams of the yellow street lights. In a couple of blocks, I make another right turn. Then a left turn into my driveway. I turn off the engine and let out a sigh of relief. I reach for my door handle and pull, eager to go to my bed. My legs wobble underneath me as I stumble out of the truck. I am finally…

Almost three and a half years ago I was a new freshman cadet in NJROTC at San Ysidro High School. I started off at the bottom like any other cadet, but I was surprisingly the quiet one of all. Although I was new, I knew where I wanted to stand in the unit. I wanted to be more than what people knew me as, the quiet and shy girl who only joined the program because her brother is in it. Cadets knocked me down for months to the point where I wanted to quit and give up because I thought I lost all hope in myself. But ironically, that was the best part of all because I grew and learned from that experience, I wanted to prove all of them wrong. The first month of being in the unit, I successfully got passed through my breaking point and it greatly contributed to the person I am today.…

Then ahead of me was a really big puddle I thought that if I slow down I wouldn’t get wet so I slowed down. When I got to the puddle I slowly went in it and all of a sudden the four wheeler stopped. I looked down so see that the four wheeler was stuck in the mud so then I stepped on the gas and mud flew up everywhere so I then rocked the four wheeler back and forth then tried it it moved up about a foot. Then I did that over and over again. When I finally got out the tires were full of mud so then I whent to a long strip of grass and punched it the four wheeler went forward I whent 10 mph and some of the mud that was on the tires came off but when I hit the brakes it slowed down about 0.5 mph per 3 feet so when I thought that I was slow enough I turned but what I didn’t think about at that moment mud and wet grass don’t mix so I ended up drifting almost right into a tree but I hit the gas the wheels started to spin and I just got out of their. When I parked it in the driveway I thought to myself “Next time be CAREFUL!!!.” After that day I promised to myself that that will NEVER happen…

While there we also visited my grandpa who lived on a ranch where it rained avocadoes. Gates that had grown green and fluffy moss at the corners opened up. I saw two monster, bright, neon green four wheelers. My heart beating and being the daredevil of my siblings I was jumping with excitement! Once we were all settled two of my older cousins decided to start the four wheelers up. As I heard the engines roar to life my cousins hollered who wanted a ride. The rest of my cousins beat me to the line and I was last. Standing there impatiently waiting and watching as they sped off into the trees and not returning for about twenty minutes each. The anticipation was killing me! While kicking dirt around I heard the engine coming from a distance, Finally my turn! To my luck my cousins were tired and hopped off the motors. My excitement crushed instantly. My dad came to the rescue and told me he would take me. Excitement…

It was a typical drive to school- fingers tapping on the steering wheel as I sing along with the overplayed pop song playing on the radio station. As I approached an intersection, I saw a dark blue sedan coming from the left, but realized that the driver had a stop sign and I did not. Therefore, I continued driving-still singing and tapping to the rhythm of the song- when suddenly, I found myself slamming on the brakes. My body jerked forward, and I looked up to find the front of my car collided with the dark blue sedan.…
