In the ad, Betty White who is playing football with some friends in the field is strugglinh to play and is not at her best. For instance, she is running to the football being thrown but she similarly gets thrown to the muddy groud from one of the players of the oppoisite team. This results tthen for the team that White is in to regroup and talk it out with Betty White. White is shown complaiming and being hurt, yet the teammates are not having the complaints, therefore one of the teammates tell Betty White “Mike you’re playing like Betty White out there” which then leads to White being offered a Snickers and is turned back to Mike. Ulimately, Mike is back to himself and is no longer acting like Betty White in the result of eating the snickers. Specifically, Snickers used Betty White, a very acliamned actress, known from all ages to be in the commericial and act comedic. For instance, the purpose of Betty White to be in the commercial is to display Mike as a bad tempered grandma, in the result of Mike being hungry. Furthermore, Snickers used the technqie characters as well to target a variety of people in the relable feeling of acting like someone else while being hungry. The ad reaches out to all age groups and races, due to the fact they have chacrers of different varitons, which is successful since it aims at countless of people like in McDonalds ads, which is one of the most successful family restaurants in the nation.
