Sohone And Mune
In this movie we are introduced to a strange world. Day and night are controlled by two guardians; the guardian of the moon and the guardian of the sun. The first guardian of the sun brought the sun closer to their planet by harpooning it down, and the first guardian of the moon carved the moon from the land of dreams. Every so often a new guardian is chosen to protect the balance of the world, the newest guardians are two young, and naive creatures. Sohone, guardian of the sun; strong, arrogant, loud but also honorable, and Mune, guardian of the moon; rambunctious, meek, kind, but brave as well. Everything is carefully colored and designed to create this interesting world. Trees are made to look round, cartoony and bubbly. This world is separated into two parts; day and night. Day has a warm golden color and the people of the day are energetic, loud and passionate. The animators designed the day characters as rocks people, showing their link to the sun. They are seen as warm and dry, they resemble rocks you might find by the Grand Canyon. Sohone, for example, is designed as a large, shiny, warm marble. He looks as if he could have been carved from the sun itself and he even releases heat like the sun. Night, however, has a cool blue-purple color and the people are reserved, quiet and respectable. Animators made the people of the night resemble animals. Many are covered in blue fur and have skinny limbs. Mune is an especially small creature who has aspects of a fawn. He is quick and light on his feet. His cares for the young, helping them fall asleep and dream peaceful dreams. Despite what Mune originally thought he makes an excellent guardian of the moon. His design is to make people see him as weak, small, and unheroic yet his actions show him as strong and brave. This is one way animators and movie directors work to fool the audience, by making something seem one-dimensional but making them actually three-dimensional. The last group of characters include Glim and her father, wax people. They live

The night is closely related to heat. As stated before, "heat" and "night" are used in a combination to enhance feelings of suspense. However, "night" itself represents fear and death because it is in humans to be afraid of the dark (unknown). It is used to represent suspicion at night, and that anything can happen at anytime without any body expecting it. Enrico Mantoli's death is a perfect example because it occurred at night. These two symbols have symbolic meanings to help the reader understand the theme and the messages of the author.…

The lack of a 360-degree view of the body reinforces how the people of this era saw commanding people. However, the carving does have depth to it; the legs are clearly in front of the back of the garment. This indicates that the three-dimensional aspect of the work is still vital and there is a reason it is a carving and not a drawing. Overall, the attention to the size of the carving and the proportions of the being indicate that the Assyrian people wanted to see this frequently and have an easy time understanding the importance of the figure. The attention to detail, overarching and intricate, all add to the influence of this figure and the artwork as a whole.…

Elie Wiesel uses Night to symbolize the darkness, fear and torture Jewish people had to live with, and survive from, during World War II. It symbolizes the dark and cruel path that Jews had to suffer from. Night was a time to be feared of because; the Nazis were brutal to the Jews and acted inhumane. In addition, humans are also inherently evil because, although it was hard to survive during the time, instead of sticking together, the Jews turned against their own families. Although some say that is was a concern to all people, the Nazis still tortured the Jews and no human helped them survive.…

In this case study Roger Cahill has been acting as the head of mobile division for less than a year. Currently he is struggling as he faces great difficulties adapting BoldFlash to a changing marketplace. The problem really started a year ago when Mr. Jim Harrison appointed the young Roger Cahill to a VP position. Although Roger has led a research project in his previous work, he is only 24 years old and inexperienced to manage a company at VP level. Positions at those levels require years of strategic leadership and management skills. Nevertheless in the last 12 months, the company focused primarily on the redundant production of customized chips without further research or product development in new and upcoming areas like the storage device. This negligence from both product development and marketing is a huge loss to the company as they missed out on the opportunity to launch new product line; therefore missed the opportunity to penetrate the potential market. Now the company has old products not priced competitively and struggling to penetrate the marketshare. Also the four groups within the division, product development, marketing, sales and manufacturing are constantly in conflict and don’t have the reinforcement from the leadership to work as a team. Although Cahill has observed the dysfunctions, he has not implemented any processes or trainings to work as a cross functional team. The company’s profit margins are low and Cahill has to take initiatives to suggest number of changes. With the staff that has low morale and lacking motivation, Cahill has to develop action plan for improvement. He has to define roles and propose organization change design to deliver an outcome necessary to be successful and generate higher profits.…
