Stewardship In Health And Social Care
In my opinion respect is a feeling of regards for a person; it can extend to place, or a religion. When it comes to respect it is a two way street in order to receive respect, one must also give respect, and therefore one cannot exist without the other. In my world respect is something that is given lightly you have to put in the work to earn it. One might thing that they holding a position of power that he or she deserve respect, but that is not the case one may show the proper courtesy to the that they may hold but the respect for individual in the position will have to earn the respect of his subordinates.
The concept of stewardship can be trace back to it religious ties when in the book of Genesis, God appointed humanity as the steward of creation (The concept of stewardship in health policy, 2000). At its best stewardship can provide an establishing principle for power in society exceeding economics to base itself on common interest (The concept of stewardship in health policy, 2000). It can also bolster the sense of social purpose in the community among sector administrators and help restore a sense of trust and legitimacy to the role of the state (The concept of stewardship in health policy, 2000).

From past experiences I have learned the real meaning of respect. This word is more powerful than one can imagine. With respect comes unselfishness. When people respect others, they are treated equally. My mother and father always told me to be tactful in the way I treated others, so I would also be respected. It has worked in the past and will always hold true in the future. If someone respects another with proper judgment, people feel good inside which gives them a sense of integrity. When I give respect and witness how it makes others feel, I feel like more of a person. I feel proud. Honored.…

A good leader must demonstrate the qualities that they want to see in their employees. For example at organizations like Starbucks and McDonalds the order takers are always friendly and greet you with a smile. This is a part of their customer focus, so a leader must be able to demonstrate these same qualities. If you saw your leader being rude or mean to customers yet they are always telling you to be nice this would be seen as a contradiction. Then you as the employee could lose respect for the leader because they are not effectively demonstrating what they want to be done. An effective leader must be able to lead by…

What does respect mean to you? To me, respect means following the golden rule. It means treating others with kindness, love, generosity, and having polite manners. “Treat others as you would like to be treated.” That is the golden rule, is it not? Who wouldn’t want to be treated with kindness? Who wouldn’t want to be around someone with manners and cleanliness? Respect is being considerate to others and their feelings and beliefs. Respect isn’t just for others though, you need to respect yourself as well; take care of yourself and be presentable. If you would like to be treated with respect, you, first, need to learn to respect yourself and others. Once that is accomplished, others will learn to respect you.…

This characteristic of a Servant Leader is important. When you look at employees and value each employee, you can create an environment that fosters motivation. Every human being want to be treated with a level of respect. When being interviewed for an article Cheryl Bachelder stated, “We give dignity to human beings, and we attempt to be humble. People perform better under those circumstances.”(Goudreau 2015) This is a sign that this leader embodies her ability to be humble in situations that require this important characteristic. The leader is showing to her employees that she is no better than they are and that each person has a job to do within the organization. When leaders do not place themselves above their subordinates employees are often willing to go above and beyond for the organization. This is a sign of inspiration. The employee is not being inspired by anything more than being treated like they should be treated in the first place.…
