Strip Cuts By David Drayer
Have you ever had someone make an effect on your life? Well I have. The book “Strip Cuts” by David Drayer, also makes a huge effect on a character Seth Hardy’s life as well. I have chosen three particular people in which I found the most effective in his life. Coarsen, Candice, and Elizabeth are each who I feel each have taught Seth at least one positive and one negative aspect of life, and here is why. The first person that I have chosen was Coarsen. I choose Coarsen because, he bullied Seth a lot. I think Coarsens bullying made Seth learn from him making Seth mature and grow up. For an example when they each divided around Seth and Coarsen pinned his knees in Seth’s chest, Seth spit and was brutally stomped by Coarsen (70). After this incident I think Coarsen gave the Seth the thought of revenge not verbally but mentally that he was going to have to grow up and play back dirty. Seth began turning the crew against each other by messing with each of their lunches and what not.(80). …show more content…
I chose her because she was a older women that Seth had a crush on an that was a big deal to him. So I think he kind of looked up to her anyway due to the fact she was older. Another reason why I think that she had an effect on Seth was because she gave Seth the opportunity to sleep with her, due to her own vulnerability. So in Seth’s mind he is excited but nervous on the outside this was something He’d never forget especially the way she comes onto him(113). I do think Seth learns from this experience as well. He learns to never let a good opportunity pass him by, or else he would regret it as he did in “ The Problem With Men

Jerry Renault had a huge impact on me from the book. He was just a little freshman that nobody would have thought anything more about. He seemed as though he was just another kid to pick on, but it turns out he was something more than that. Jerry was sought out by Archie and considered to be a potential candidate of the coveted Vigils. Archie saw something in Jerry that nobody else did.…

People have a lasting effect on someone depending on how they treat them and what they do in their life. People can have a more meaningful impact having just met someone for a day rather then someone who has been present in their life for years. Montag, in Fahrenheit 451, was more impacted by Clarisse only knowing her for less then a week, rather than his wife, Mildred, of ten years. Clarisse was put in Montag’s life for less then a week, and fulfilled his life more then Mildred. Mildred and Montag have been married for ten years and they don’t have meaning in each other’s lives. Montag’s eyes were open to his true happiness when the author, Ray Bradbury, placed Clarisse in his life. Ray gives Clarisse and Mildred vastly different characteristics…

Out of the entire book, I believed that Starletta and her family, Julia and Roy, and Ellen’s new mama all significantly impacted her life the most. Ellen was degraded on a daily basis by her own family members but was able to stay strong and push through it at such a young age because of a few supporters. Ellen showed a significant amount of maturity throughout the book as she learned to care for herself and still care for others around her as well. In the end, the type of person you are really does not revolve around the type of cards you were dealt, but how you deal with negative situations and how they have made you a better, stronger…

In the novel walk two moons by Sharon crèche The character i chose was mrs. winterbottom because she has a lot of internal and external conflicts in my opinion. These forces caused her to change because she found her son. The external force that caused her to change is that she found her son. This caused her to change because she was in a bus accident and she will never forget that experience. This is important because it effected phoebe and mr. wintherbottom because they didn’t even know that she had a son.…

The first component is that she has red hair. This is very important to the story because this led to Jonas’ ability to see color. Also I feel that Jonas would think of her as pretty which would enable him to have the “stirrings” with her. Jonas said “I wanted to bathe her” during his stirring. Also she is an experienced actor who would be able to fit into the role.…
