SWOT Analysis I chose to do a SWOT analysis on the business plan of Studio 67 which is a trendy organic medium size restaurant located in Portland, Oregon. SWOT stands for Strength Weakness Opportunities and Threats. The SWOT analysis helps entrepreneurs come up with a strategic plan and determine if a product, service, or business is worth the risk. The SWOT analysis is like a pros and cons list, where strength and opportunities are the pros and weaknesses and threats are the cons. I chose this business plan because it is similar to something that I might want to do in the future. Health food restaurants are what society needs and I plan to contribute to the health of our generation and up coming generations.

has Andrew Flounderson which has extensive experience being able to manage 6 to 45 people. Jane Flap will be responsible for the accounting and financial section of the business. Jane also has a significant amount of experience including seven years experience as an Arthur Andersen CPA. Last but not least Studio 67 has Chef Mario Langostino who has 12 years experience and is a published and visual texture chef in Portland. These leaders have sufficient experience and will be able to run this business in the right direction. Studio 67 has detailed charts and graphs in their business plan that illustrating their assets, expenses, projections, and other components of the business which leads me to believe that they have a well developed business model.
Studio 67 provides a healthy organic cuisine with many different ethnic recipes. There is a trend for eating healthy and many restaurants are already following this trend by adding a healthy section in their menus. Therefore having a restaurant with a menu which is completely healthy will be greatly successful. Their largest target customers are the lonely rich which consists of computer techs and internet workers and other technology savvy businessman. Their second largest customers are dieting women which we all know how women feel about their physical appearance. There third largest target are the rich hippies that are willing to spend money on an organic cuisine. Studio 67 market segments are correctly targeted with the dieting women, rich hippies, and the lonely
rich.
Weaknesses It was difficult to find a weakness in studio 67's business plan. However even though studio 67 market segments are correctly targeted they did not show any details on how they will appeal to their customers. All they have in their business plan is the idea of being a trendy organic health food restaurant that will have its customers feeling part of the in crowd. There are no details on how this will be accomplished. They do not mention such things as advertisements, commercials, or publicity events that will help put the name Studio 67 out in the market. Studio 67 must include a marketing plan that contains these elements in order to help be more successful.
Opportunities With experience of Chef Mario and his extensive knowledge and ethnic cuisine he will help Studio 67 by creating a diverse menu which will be changing every day with the exception of a few constant selections. This will keep their customers from getting tired of the same menu and I see this as Studio 67 improving their product. Any restaurant business such as this one has the opportunity to expand, because of the need of healthy cuisine in our society. In addition with the increasing demand in the targeted market segments Studio 67 will continue to have and bring in more and more customers that they did not target at first.
Threats In my opinion studio 67 has minimal threats having a one-of-a-kind restaurant with a featured chef it would be hard to duplicate their menu especially with it changing every day. There was always a possibility for a competitor to imitate the idea of an organic health food restaurant, and there is always competition in the industry of restaurants.
Conclusion In conclusion after conducting my SWOT analysis I believe that Studio 67 has a solid business plan that contains sufficient research and leadership experience to run a successful restaurant. There is a trend for healthy eating and it is increasing even though other restaurants will eventually open Studio 67 will be considered a pioneer for organic health food restaurants.
