INTRODUCTION:-
“The recruitment process of finding and attracting capable applicants for employment. The process begins when new recruits are sought and ends when their application are submitted. The result is a pool of applicants from which new employees are selected.” Recruitment is the most important step in the employment of industrial labour in the process of staffing. The ultimate success of failure of employment depends on the methods of recruitment. Proper recruitment is the source for the increase of production and efficiency.
Recruitment is the process of searching for prospective employees and stimulating them to apply for jobs in the organisation. When more persons apply for jobs then there will be scope for recruiting better persons. The job seekers too, on the other hand, are in the search bringing together those with jobs and those seeking jobs. Factors affecting recruitment Internal sources External sources a. Image of organisation c. unemployment situation “Selection is the process by which candidates for employment are divided into two classes”, those who will be offered employment and those who will not, since more candidates may be turned away than hired.
