Even though Karen was hurt by the news, she still expected the best. Her faith was the only thing that kept her going through this difficult time. She delivered her son, Raynor, via emergency C-section. The baby was breathing when he was born. However, soon after Raynor's birth, Karen found out that he had kidney failure. The doctors stated that if baby Raynor's kidneys did not start
working within 12 hours, then he would most likely die.
Karen did not believe her soon was going to make it, so she asked the doctors if she could hold her baby one last time. Raynor started to get better after his mother held him. He had to stay in the hospital a long time, but Raynor is now home. He is happy and healthy. The family calls Raynor's recovery a miracle.
