Harming human life at any time or for any reason is wrong. The article mentioned earlier mentions how the police officer asked the other police officer to target on the black men instead of white. This order depicts how the black men are treated with lower respect than their white counterparts. The young black men and women are more likely to be perceived dangerous and get shot by the police officers than white. Any human being regardless of race is an innocent human life and has to be protected. All people regardless of their race have a “right and a duty to participate in society” (Byron, “Ten Building blocks”) and have to promote good for all. One way to participation the society is by working. The work is a way of “continuing participation in God’s creation” (Byron, “Ten Building blocks”). In order to respect God, once has to respect work by treating all the employees respectfully. Clearly this principle is refuted while practicing racism. The black people are treated disrespectfully in working environments, they are less likely to be promoted and receive a lower salary than the white counterparts.
