The Strong-Campbell Interest Inventory has a reliability coefficient alphas of .95 and a test-retest reliability ranging from .88 - .95. Convergent validity was showed by comparing the current version to the previous version. Convergent validity was .95. The strong-Campbell Interest Inventory seems to have improved a lot through its revisions. There are male and female sections and a wide variety of jobs. One limitation is that there is a short list of interest.
It does not take into account all the interest one could have. It can be combined with the Myers-Briggs which increases its practicality. This can be taken in less than 40 minutes.
Test 4: Sixteen Personality Factor Questionnaire
The Sixteen Personality Factory Questionnaire is based on 16 personality factors. It is designed to identify primary personality traits. Questions are given in a three-choice format.
The 16 personality factor questionnaire has a test-retest reliability coefficient ranging from .84 to.91 for the global factors. The primary factors reliability was a little lower ranging from .69 - .87. Cronbach’s coefficient alpha was also used to determine internal consistency, scores ranged from .64 - .85. The validity of this test was tested by convergent validity. This was done by comparing this test to other personality tests. No score information was available.
The questions in the 16 personality factor questionnaire are written at a fifth-grade reading level. Individuals who don’t speak a lot or any English or individuals who are below a fifth-grade reading level may have a hard time with this questionnaire. These groups of people could be individuals from a lower Socio-Economic Status. The fact that this test can be taken on a computer or on paper makes it practical. It is a shorter test if done on a computer and the scoring will be done for you if done a computer which adds to it practicality. This questionnaire does not take into account motivation and is limited to measuring only normal adult personalities.
