America today is completely high tech. The technology of current times has completely taken over. Some people can contend that the technology of today is making people lazier. I agree that America is growing lazier as the mass market is making everything computerized. Everyday people are losing valuable skills, as the world is going paperless.
Cell phones, tablets, ereaders, laptops, desk tops, and many more. The whole world can be now compacted to your pocket. People can check their email, do homework, watch TV, and download the newest ringtones without getting out of bed. People are missing the fun of life, like actually watching the sun set instead of just having a wallpaper of it. Or going to the park and playing basketball instead of sitting at home and playing it on PlayStation.
Kids now a days don’t even go outside. Most kids come from school and instead of after school activities, like cheerleading or baseball, they are plopping right in front of a computer screen. Video games are taking away children social skills. With video games the center of most of young America’s life, more social experiences and growth are becoming obsolete. Furthermore, the cases of children obesity are growing more by the minute. Children are becoming less active as the world of technology is taking over.
One of the scariest effects on people, from this growing world of technology is the loss of valuable skills. As our world is going paperless, our everyday technology is eroding our math skills. It is becoming harder for us to hold on to our skills, such as multiplying and dividing without the help technology. Writing skills are also suffering, teenagers are having a hard time actually learning to spell words without the use of spell check. Also teenagers are using there text vocabulary in everyday life.
