One instance of test anxiety I recall was during my computer technology midterm a few weeks back. In spite of my best efforts, and despite the fact that I spent so much time and energy taking notes, I still approached this particular midterm with a total sense of dread and hopelessness. Regardless of the fact that I had practically memorized most (if not all) of the chapter contents and other essential information, I could not help but feel immense worry. After the exam I went to go check my grade, and much to my own surprise I had finished the midterm a perfect 100/100 points. Afterwards, I did some introspective thought and pondered on whether or not my self-defeating thoughts and other negative behaviors has have served me well, and I ultimately came to the conclusion that they have
