the bible to me
Jesus Christ, the second Person of the Trinity is equal to the father in nature, yet the father sent him to die for the sins of the world.
When God came upon earth he would have to identify himself as such. Jesus identified himself with God and as being one with God he also claimed that to see him was to see God.
In order to be God, Jesus had to be God like in his moral attributes, love and goodness and to be able to have supreme power and knowledge and to be able to demonstrate this. This was demonstrated by Jesus. Jesus claimed to be in Heaven, that the dead would respond to him and that nature would obey him.
When Jesus was born in Bethlehem he was born to normal parents. He immediately stood out from other kids with the way he gained knowledge and wisdom. Jesus' journey through his early years clearly showed that he was not just a mere person like others. His love and compassion for people and his understanding of all situations also proved his deity.
"There is only one God, and one Mediator between God and man, the man Jesus Christ". (1 Timothy; 2:5). The prior statement brings Jesus into a position of total superiority.
In my mind you have to believe in Jesus as a man-God or the bible and a big part of its messages doesn't make sense. When Jesus died on the Cross at Calvary is without a doubt the single greatest event for mankind. Throughout the Bible their are numerous accounts of Jesus as a man but also as a God. Jesus lived his life like other men in regards to eating, sleeping, tiring and was even emotional at times. My favorite passage is when God says to Moses, "I am that I am" (Exodus 3;14).
Jesus was both God and Man is proven by his ability to do Godly things and be man-like while doing them. To separate God and Jesus Christ is not possible besides the fact that Jesus done things in a human form.
Jesus had to become incarnated to save humanity because man had made such a mess out of saving themselves. All different kinds of sin were

In the book, “More than a Carpenter,” Josh McDowell shows how Jesus Christ was more than just a teacher of good principles or a significant person in history. He was God in the flesh who entered the world and exclusively proved His deity. This book shows how Jesus is different from religious historical figures, guides the reader through proofs of Christianity, and logically shows that Jesus Christ was Lord. He shows that Jesus would not have died for a lie and that if Jesus did not rise from the grave, then he would not be the Messiah. Christ has changed many lives because he lived a perfect life, died on the cross for everyone’s sins, and rose from the grave.…

The Holy One, Word of God, Emmanuel, and Son of God, these names describe one man: Jesus Christ. No other person in the history of the world is more well known or respected. The man born of a virgin and raised by a carpenter. He taught kindness and compassion while driving out hate and corruption, and his own people, the Jews, and the Romans put him to death for preaching the good news. Jesus’ impact on the world is unparalleled. Wars were fought in his name. The church, his lasting gift, influenced life for almost two-thousand years in Europe. The modern world is truly shaped by this man. One may wonder who, if anyone, can match this man in any manner. While no mortal is even on the same level as Jesus, similarities can still be drawn.…

After reading “Jesus’ Two Natures: God and Man” by Matt Slick, I now have a better and more clear understanding of the relationship of Jesus’ human and divine nature. The common misconception, outlined in the text, is that Jesus is half man and half God. This simply is not true; Jesus has two very distinct natures: he is both divine and human. Jesus was the Word of God, and with that said, Jesus’s divine nature and ability did not alter when He became flesh. When Jesus became flesh and gained his human nature, what occurred was he joined humanity as we know it. Jesus is essentially God within the flesh, his divine and human nature are essentially two separate entities working and meshing together to form the Son of God. Through scripture these statements can be clearly proven. When one looks at The Book of John , John 1:14 puts it best by stating “And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.” This quote from John 1:14 fundamentally showcases that Jesus was the Word of God and became flesh (Slick, M.
