I chose Chapter 5 of this book because I thought it was very interesting, how it relates to teenagers in real life since they get those same sort of feelings called “Stirrings” as said in the book. As children reach a certain age they start to develop feelings for each other and in this book it shows certain kids that they’re not the only ones that feel this way. The book relates a lot to kids their age. Though the book gives a simple way to solve the problem, many wish it could be that simple in reality.

Normally, Jonas doesn’t contribute much during the morning ritual when the family speaks of their dreams. But this time it was a different story. He had dreamt very vividly the night before. Lily had a frightening dream about her breaking the rules because of riding her mother’s bicycle and she was caught. While his mothers dream was a worrying scene where she had been chastised for a rule violation she didn’t understand. Father claimed he had no dreams. Once it got to Jonas’ turn to speak he said, “ I think I was in the bathing room at the House of the Old.” Yet he was there the day of the dream. But the event that occurred at the House of the Old was not quite the same.
Jonas explained that there was only one tub, and the room was warm and damp. His chest was bare since he took off his tunic and not yet put on his smock. Fiona was there in the dream as well just as she was at the House of the Old that same day. The two were standing beside the tub and she was laughing. But Jonas almost seemed as if he was mad at her. He wanted her to take off her clothes because he wanted to bathe her. As Jonas continued the story he felt very embarrassed. Meanwhile in the dream, Fiona continued to laugh and say no. He tried to recapture the events in in head from the dream but they were very vague. As he thought and thought the image came
