His sister was angry because a little boy that came from another community kept butting to the front of the line for the slide. Jonas' parents dealt with her anger easily. Lily's feelings were easy and straightforward. Jonas' father went next. His father was worried about a little boy who was not thriving in the nursery where Jonas' father works. He decided to ask permission from the committee to bring him home at night for special care. Jonas' mother was frustrated and scared. Frustrated because a man was that was brought before her again. Jonas' mother has an important spot in the Building of Justice. He has been tried before and he was let go with a warning. But she also felt scared for him because, there are no third chances if there was a third trial, he simply had to be released. Everybody comforted Jonas' mother and she murmured that she felt soothed. Then it was Jonas' turn. He told his family that he was apprehensive about the ceremony of twelve. His sister was in awe.
