They would do anything to help anyone. “I snatched up another kid, hoping he didn't bite, and dropped him without waiting to see if he landed okay or not. I was coughing so hard I could hardly stand up, and I wished I had time to take off Dally's jacket. It was hot. We dropped the last of the kids off at the front of the church before it started to crumble” (S.E. Hinton pg.79). Throughout the story the Greasers show how helpful they are, unlike the Socials who are snobs.
The Socials finally realize just because they have material things, doesn't make them better people. Greasers and Socials are the same just with different ways of life. The morale of the story is life as a popular person isn’t all that great. One becomes closer with people when you’re not in the spotlight. Overall this is a interesting story with a good life
