The Importance Of Mandatory Military Service In America

A few countries, such as Mexico and Germany, require every young person to serve two years of military service, and as America continues to have military struggle throughout the globe it has been proposed to follow the similar policy of mandatary service. However, joining the military should be each individual’s choice. Mandatory recruitment will only result in putting listless people in the army, education interference, and places lives at risk. Instead, young men and women should be required to contribute in public service that interests him/her and could benefit them in the future. In addition, forcing young Americans to join the army will harm people’s patriotic and loyalty towards their country.
It’s difficult for anyone who doesn’t like to be in military services to become a proper solder, it’s illogical to depend on an unmotivated and uninterested person to fight for the country. The main reason the United States military is powerful is because it is made of volunteers. Every Soldier that goes out into the battle field with determination is there because he or she volunteered to do it. Additionally,
If by law, mandatory military service existed in America, it would most likely effective for men and women leaving high school, to join the military. Depriving young people of two years as well expels two years of perusing potential careers, furthering one’s education, and discovering one’s self. Time spent doing military service is time taken away from the transition between high school and university education. By becoming a surgeon or police the individual will be helping their country as equally. Young people would lose their grip on occupations that require a longer period of study. The youth would fall behind in their chosen occupation because the two years would take a significant portion out of their work training
